## What it does

The skill hands your agent a working method for iOS app assessments. It opens with a jailbroken vs non-jailbroken comparison, so you know what needs a jailbroken device and what can be done on a re-signed IPA with a Frida gadget. From there it walks through keychain, URL schemes, Universal Links and runtime manipulation.

The keychain section lists protection classes (`kSecAttrAccessibleWhenUnlocked`, `kSecAttrAccessibleAfterFirstUnlock`, `kSecAttrAccessibleAlways`, `kSecAttrAccessibleWhenPasscodeSetThisDeviceOnly`) and what each one means for risk. Extraction is covered with `keychain-dumper` on a jailbroken device, `objection -g com.target.app explore` plus `ios keychain dump`, and a standalone Frida script. For URL schemes the playbook shows the duplicate-registration attack: an app claiming the same scheme as the target can catch the OAuth callback and the authorization code with it. Universal Links break through AASA mistakes — wildcard path patterns, a file not served as `application/json`, stale CDN cache.

Some techniques assume a jailbroken device; without one you lose full sandbox access and method hooking. The skill points at neighbours worth loading: `mobile-ssl-pinning-bypass` for pinning, `android-pentesting-tricks` when the Android build is in scope, `api-sec` for the backend. iOS-specific hooks live in `IOS_RUNTIME_TRICKS.md`, with Frida recipes and an Objection command reference.

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add yaklang/hack-skills --skill ios-pentesting-tricks -a claude-code
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `~/.claude/skills/ios-pentesting-tricks/SKILL.md` — Copy the whole skill folder; for one project use .claude/skills/ios-pentesting-tricks/

### Codex

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add yaklang/hack-skills --skill ios-pentesting-tricks -a codex
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.agents/skills/ios-pentesting-tricks/SKILL.md` — For all projects use ~/.agents/skills/

### Cursor

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add yaklang/hack-skills --skill ios-pentesting-tricks -a cursor
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.cursor/skills/ios-pentesting-tricks/SKILL.md` — Cursor also reads .agents/skills/ and .claude/skills/

### GitHub Copilot

1. **GitHub CLI**
```bash
gh skill install yaklang/hack-skills ios-pentesting-tricks
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.github/skills/ios-pentesting-tricks/SKILL.md`

### Gemini CLI

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add yaklang/hack-skills --skill ios-pentesting-tricks -a gemini-cli
```

2. **Platform CLI**
```bash
gemini skills install https://github.com/yaklang/hack-skills --path skills/ios-pentesting-tricks
```

### Windsurf (Devin Desktop)

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.devin/skills/ios-pentesting-tricks/SKILL.md` — The legacy .windsurf/skills/ path still works

### OpenCode

**Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add yaklang/hack-skills --skill ios-pentesting-tricks -a opencode
```

### Claude.ai

**Claude.ai**
- Zip the folder and upload it in Settings → Capabilities → Skills

Where a file is given instead of a command, copy the files from the source to that path: https://github.com/yaklang/hack-skills/tree/HEAD/skills/ios-pentesting-tricks/SKILL.md

## When to use it
- pull tokens and passwords out of an app's keychain
- check whether an OAuth callback can be hijacked via a URL scheme
- find AASA mistakes and judge the risk to Universal Links
- attach Frida to an app on a device without a jailbreak
- work out which protection class guards a given secret

## Example prompts
- Check the keychain of this app: which protection classes hold the tokens and what can be dumped
- Parse the URL schemes from Info.plist and show how to intercept the OAuth callback
- Load the ios-pentesting-tricks skill and draft a Universal Links test plan for target.com

# SKILL: iOS Pentesting Tricks — Expert Attack Playbook

> **AI LOAD INSTRUCTION**: Expert iOS application security testing techniques. Covers jailbreak vs non-jailbreak methodology, keychain extraction, URL scheme/Universal Links abuse, Frida/Objection runtime hooks, binary protection checks, and data storage analysis. Base models miss protection class nuances and AASA misconfiguration patterns.

## 1. JAILBREAK VS NON-JAILBREAK TESTING

| Capability | Jailbroken | Non-Jailbroken |
|---|---|---|
| SSL pinning bypass | Frida, SSL Kill Switch 2, Objection | Network debugging proxy, MITM profiles (limited) |
| Keychain access | keychain-dumper, Frida dump | Only via backup extraction (limited) |
| Filesystem inspection | Full access to app sandbox | Only via `ideviceinstaller` + backup |
| Runtime manipulation | Frida, Cycript, LLDB attach | Frida on sideloaded apps (re-signed) |
| Binary analysis | Class-dump, Hopper on-device | Decrypt IPA on Mac, analyze offline |
| Method hooking | Full Frida/Cycript capability | Limited (needs re-signed app + Frida gadget) |

### Non-Jailbreak Testing Setup
