## What it does

The skill runs an onchain security inspection for Base network tokens (`chainid=8453`). It combines up to six separate checks into one output: rug risk, contract architecture, deployer background, holder concentration, honeypot simulation, and LP locking on Aerodrome or Uniswap V3.

It requires a `0x` token address to start. The `--checks=` option selects specific modules, while `--depth=` toggles between `quick` sampling and standard `deep` evaluation. The skill also inspects `memory/MEMORY.md` and recent log files before execution to highlight what shifted since the prior scan.

The core engine functions keyless out of the box using public Base RPC and Etherscan v2 API. When keyless endpoints hit rate limits or omit holder records, that section logs `unavailable` instead of crashing the report. Supplying an optional `ETHERSCAN_API_KEY` and custom `BASE_RPC_URL` restores full data feeds and higher request rates.

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add aeonfun/aeon --skill investigation-report -a claude-code
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `~/.claude/skills/investigation-report/SKILL.md` — Copy the whole skill folder; for one project use .claude/skills/investigation-report/

### Codex

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add aeonfun/aeon --skill investigation-report -a codex
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.agents/skills/investigation-report/SKILL.md` — For all projects use ~/.agents/skills/

### Cursor

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add aeonfun/aeon --skill investigation-report -a cursor
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.cursor/skills/investigation-report/SKILL.md` — Cursor also reads .agents/skills/ and .claude/skills/

### GitHub Copilot

1. **GitHub CLI**
```bash
gh skill install aeonfun/aeon investigation-report
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.github/skills/investigation-report/SKILL.md`

### Gemini CLI

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add aeonfun/aeon --skill investigation-report -a gemini-cli
```

2. **Platform CLI**
```bash
gemini skills install https://github.com/aeonfun/aeon --path skills/investigation-report
```

### Windsurf (Devin Desktop)

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.devin/skills/investigation-report/SKILL.md` — The legacy .windsurf/skills/ path still works

### OpenCode

**Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add aeonfun/aeon --skill investigation-report -a opencode
```

## When to use it
- audit contract code for mint authority and blacklist functions
- simulate sell transactions to catch honeypot mechanics
- verify liquidity pool locks across Aerodrome and Uniswap V3
- calculate token concentration among top holders and whales
- trace deployer address history on Base

## Example prompts
- Run an investigation-report on token 0x1234567890123456789012345678901234567890
- Check 0x1234567890123456789012345678901234567890 for honeypot behavior with --checks=honeypot
- Run a fast scan on rug risk and liquidity: 0x1234567890123456789012345678901234567890 --checks=rug,lp --depth=quick

> **${var}** — Base subject to investigate, plus optional flags: `<token-address> [--checks=rug,contract,deployer,holders,honeypot,lp] [--depth=quick|deep]`. The first token is the subject contract address (`0x…`, required). `--checks=` is a comma-list selecting which analyzers to run (**default = all six**). `--depth=` is `quick` (the old rug-scan fast path — minimal reads) or `deep` (full standalone logic of each selected check; **default**). If the subject address is empty, log `REPORT_NO_TARGET` and exit cleanly (no notify).
>
> Examples:
> - `0xToken` → all six checks, deep report.
> - `0xToken --checks=honeypot` → only the honeypot simulation (reproduces the standalone honeypot-check exactly, incl. its `HONEYPOT_*` end-states).
> - `0xToken --checks=rug,lp --depth=quick` → rug verdict + LP-lock, fast path.
> - `0xToken --checks=contract,deployer,holders --depth=deep` → structural audit + deployer entity intel + full concentration.

The "tell me everything about this token" skill. Instead of running six checks by hand, this composes them into one structured report behind a selector: **rug risk**, **contract audit** (verification / owner powers / proxy), **deployer trace** (who shipped it and their history), **holder concentration** (whale risk), **honeypot** (can you actually sell?), and **LP lock** (can the team pull liquidity?) — with a one-line summary on top.

Designed to **degrade gracefully**: each selected section runs independently, so a section that needs a key (or returns nothing) is marked `unavailable` without aborting the rest. Selecting a single check makes the composite behave as that one analyzer — same steps, same thresholds, same notify format, same status codes.

## Config

- Subject = the first token of `${var}` (validate: `0x` + 40 hex). Chain = Base (`chainid=8453`, explorer `basescan.org`).
- **Etherscan v2 unified API** (`https://api.etherscan.io/v2/api?chainid=8453&…`) — used by the `rug`, `contract`, `deployer`, `holders` checks. Works **keyless** at a lower rate limit.
