## What it does

inspira-ui helps an agent choose and add animated Vue 3 and Nuxt 4 components for backgrounds, text, buttons, cursors, particles, confetti, and 3D scenes. The pieces are copied into `components/ui/` rather than consumed as a standard npm library. Its guidance covers TypeScript prop interfaces, explicit Vue imports, and WebGL cleanup.

The base setup uses `clsx`, `tailwind-merge`, `class-variance-authority`, `tw-animate-css`, `@vueuse/core`, and `motion-v`, plus `lib/utils.ts` and CSS variables in `main.css`. 3D components need `three` and `@types/three`; WebGL cursor components need `ogl`. Those effects will fail without their required packages. Run `./scripts/verify-setup.sh` to check the setup.

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add secondsky/claude-skills --skill inspira-ui -a claude-code
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `~/.claude/skills/inspira-ui/SKILL.md` — Copy the whole skill folder; for one project use .claude/skills/inspira-ui/

### Codex

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add secondsky/claude-skills --skill inspira-ui -a codex
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.agents/skills/inspira-ui/SKILL.md` — For all projects use ~/.agents/skills/

### Cursor

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add secondsky/claude-skills --skill inspira-ui -a cursor
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.cursor/skills/inspira-ui/SKILL.md` — Cursor also reads .agents/skills/ and .claude/skills/

### GitHub Copilot

1. **GitHub CLI**
```bash
gh skill install secondsky/claude-skills inspira-ui
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.github/skills/inspira-ui/SKILL.md`

### Gemini CLI

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add secondsky/claude-skills --skill inspira-ui -a gemini-cli
```

2. **Platform CLI**
```bash
gemini skills install https://github.com/secondsky/claude-skills --path plugins/inspira-ui/skills/inspira-ui
```

### Windsurf (Devin Desktop)

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.devin/skills/inspira-ui/SKILL.md` — The legacy .windsurf/skills/ path still works

### OpenCode

**Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add secondsky/claude-skills --skill inspira-ui -a opencode
```

### Claude.ai

**Claude.ai**
- Zip the folder and upload it in Settings → Capabilities → Skills

## When to use it
- choose an animated hero component
- build an interactive Vue or Nuxt background
- add a 3D visualization with `three`
- configure a WebGL cursor with `ogl`
- fix CSS variable or `motion-v` setup errors

## Example prompts
- Choose an animated hero for this page and copy the required pieces into `components/ui/`.
- Set up a 3D globe in this Nuxt 4 project, add its dependencies, and verify the component imports.
- Run `./scripts/verify-setup.sh` for inspira-ui and fix the reported setup issues.

- Free and open source (MIT license)

## Quick Start

### 1. Install Core Dependencies

```bash
# Required for all components
bun add -d clsx tailwind-merge class-variance-authority tw-animate-css
bun add @vueuse/core motion-v
# Optional: For 3D components (Globe, Cosmic Portal, etc.)
bun add three @types/three
# Optional: For WebGL components (Fluid Cursor, Neural Background, etc.)
bun add ogl
```

### 2. Setup CN Utility

Create `lib/utils.ts`:

```typescript
import { type ClassValue, clsx } from "clsx";
import { twMerge } from "tailwind-merge";
export function cn(...inputs: ClassValue[]) {
  return twMerge(clsx(inputs));
}
```

### 3. Configure CSS Variables

Add to your `main.css`. See [references/SETUP.md](references/SETUP.md) for complete CSS configuration with OkLch colors.

### 4. Verify Setup

```bash
./scripts/verify-setup.sh
```

### 5. Copy Components

Browse [inspira-ui.com/components](https://inspira-ui.com/components), copy what you need into `components/ui/`.
