## What it does

The skill guides source-based work on Hummingbot, Gateway, and hummingbot-api. It can inspect the development environment, choose branches for the three repositories, install dependencies, build a wheel and Docker images, then start the stack and test service connectivity.

Its slash commands cover separate stages such as `install-deps`, `select-branches`, `install-all`, `build-all`, `verify-build`, `run-dev-stack`, `setup-hummingbot`, `run-gateway`, and `test-integration`. Dependency setup can handle conda, Node.js v22, pnpm, Git, and Docker. Restart the terminal after PATH changes. Docker is required for image builds.

The default repository paths are `~/.openclaw/workspace/hummingbot`, `~/.openclaw/workspace/hummingbot-gateway`, and `~/.openclaw/workspace/hummingbot-api`. You can replace them with `HUMMINGBOT_DIR`, `GATEWAY_DIR`, `HUMMINGBOT_API_DIR`, or `WORKSPACE`. The API is wired to local Hummingbot source with `pip install -e`.

## When to use it
- check a local Hummingbot development environment
- install the three repositories in sequence
- build the wheel and Docker images
- start the source-based development stack
- test API, Gateway, and Hummingbot connectivity

## Example prompts
- Check the development environment with `/hummingbot-developer start`.
- Install dependencies and the repositories with `/hummingbot-developer install-deps`, then `/hummingbot-developer install-all`.
- Build and test the local stack with `/hummingbot-developer build-all`, `/hummingbot-developer verify-build`, and `/hummingbot-developer test-integration`.
