## What it does

This skill gives an agent reference material for building HTTP services with Hummingbird 2, a Swift framework built on SwiftNIO with Swift Concurrency support. Use it while working on a Swift server or REST API, especially when you need help with routing, middleware, request contexts, or authentication.

The examples cover route groups, path and query values, JSON request decoding, and several ways to produce an HTTP response. They also show how `ChildRequestContext` can expose a required property to protected routes, and how `EditedResponse` carries a status and headers alongside a response body. The material guides code changes; it does not provide a finished application.

A project using Hummingbird needs the package added in `Package.swift` and the `Hummingbird` product included in its target. The setup example starts at version `2.0.0`, so check that dependency when applying the guidance to a project.
