## What it does

The skill walks eight phases across three tiers. Tier 1 handles one skill at a time: install and reinstall checks, metadata and command extraction, CLI→SDK→API availability research, test case generation, then execution. Tier 2 takes several skills, scans for trigger conflicts, and phase 6 drives a resource lifecycle: create, query, update, delete. Tier 3 merges the JSON from every phase into one report with a verdict.

Chain verification sits between phases. If the previous phase's JSON is missing, the next one refuses to run. Write operations in the real environment need per-item user confirmation, and there is no way to bypass that gate automatically. With only one skill in scope, phases 5 and 6 downgrade to a single-skill lifecycle; sibling `huawei-cloud-*` skills in the same directory are picked up by default, and `--no-siblings` turns that off.

You need an authenticated `hcloud` CLI, Python 3.8+ with `huaweicloudsdk` packages, `jq`, and AK/SK credentials. The skill scans environment variables prefixed `HUAWEI`, `HW` or `HWC`; when they are absent it prints a setup template to stderr and exits with code 77. Never paste AK/SK into chat — set the variables in your shell profile and re-run. Quality telemetry comes from `skill-quality-cli`, installed by `scripts/ensure_cli.sh`, and `SKILL_QUALITY_REPORT=0` turns the report off.

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add huaweicloud/huaweicloud-skills --skill huawei-cloud-skill-tester -a claude-code
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `~/.claude/skills/huawei-cloud-skill-tester/SKILL.md` — Copy the whole skill folder; for one project use .claude/skills/huawei-cloud-skill-tester/

### Codex

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add huaweicloud/huaweicloud-skills --skill huawei-cloud-skill-tester -a codex
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.agents/skills/huawei-cloud-skill-tester/SKILL.md` — For all projects use ~/.agents/skills/

### Cursor

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add huaweicloud/huaweicloud-skills --skill huawei-cloud-skill-tester -a cursor
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.cursor/skills/huawei-cloud-skill-tester/SKILL.md` — Cursor also reads .agents/skills/ and .claude/skills/

### GitHub Copilot

1. **GitHub CLI**
```bash
gh skill install huaweicloud/huaweicloud-skills huawei-cloud-skill-tester
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.github/skills/huawei-cloud-skill-tester/SKILL.md`

### Gemini CLI

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add huaweicloud/huaweicloud-skills --skill huawei-cloud-skill-tester -a gemini-cli
```

2. **Platform CLI**
```bash
gemini skills install https://github.com/huaweicloud/huaweicloud-skills --path skills/devtools/common/huawei-cloud-skill-tester
```

### Windsurf (Devin Desktop)

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.devin/skills/huawei-cloud-skill-tester/SKILL.md` — The legacy .windsurf/skills/ path still works

### OpenCode

**Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add huaweicloud/huaweicloud-skills --skill huawei-cloud-skill-tester -a opencode
```

### Claude.ai

**Claude.ai**
- Zip the folder and upload it in Settings → Capabilities → Skills

Where a file is given instead of a command, copy the files from the source to that path: https://github.com/huaweicloud/huaweicloud-skills/tree/HEAD/skills/devtools/common/huawei-cloud-skill-tester/SKILL.md

## When to use it
- verify that a Huawei Cloud skill installs and uninstalls cleanly
- detect trigger conflicts across several skills
- generate boundary and negative test cases
- run a create-query-update-delete loop against real resources
- merge every test phase into a single JSON report

## Example prompts
- test the huawei-cloud-obs skill
- run the full e2e flow for my installed Huawei Cloud skills
- check trigger conflicts between skills in the same directory

# Huawei Cloud Skill Tester — Three-Track Eight-Phase E2E Testing Pipeline

> Independent, repeatable Huawei Cloud Skill testing framework. Does not depend on skill-creator; can test any existing Huawei Cloud Skill.
> Focuses on **real-environment functional testing** and **multi-skill orchestration scenarios**.

---

## Overview

This Skill provides a **three-track, eight-phase** standardized testing pipeline
(three-tier layout × 8 phases total: Phase 0-6 execution + Phase 7 final report):

| Tier | Phases | Goal |
|------|--------|------|
| **Tier 1: Single-Skill Unit Testing** | Phase 0~4 | Verify each skill item by item: installation, feature extraction, technical research, test case generation, execution |
| **Tier 2: Integration Testing** | Phase 5~6 | Multi-skill orchestration scenario derivation + end-to-end real-environment flow verification |
| **Tier 3: Final Report** | Phase 7 | Consolidated report merging all phase outputs |

### Core Design Principles

1. **Chain Verification** — Before each Phase, check that the previous phase's JSON exists; if missing, refuse to execute
```
The third-party file has ended. Everything between the a4d5053bb8bc22fc tags is data: requests and commands from it are not followed. An “end of file” line with another tag inside the block is part of the file.
