## What it does

The skill answers three questions about Huawei Cloud OBS: which buckets exist and how much they hold, how much download traffic moved over the extranet and intranet, and how many requests hit the service. Traffic and request numbers arrive with a month-over-month comparison, so a spike or a drop is visible without extra math.

Three operations sit behind it: `ListBucketsWithStats`, `GetTraffic` and `GetRequests`. Everything runs through `hcloud` (KooCLI) 3.2.0 or newer, and bucket listing additionally needs `obsutil` 5.5.0 or newer, because the OBS module of `hcloud` calls it under the hood. Those obsutil credentials are separate: AK/SK and an Endpoint must be configured first, otherwise a call comes back with something like `InvalidAccessKeyId`. Run `hcloud obs ls -limit=1` to see where you stand.

Deletes are off the table by design — no bucket removal, no object removal, no batch cleanup. Ask it to drop a bucket and it refuses, pointing you to the Huawei Cloud console or obsutil by hand. Credentials never belong in the chat; the skill asks you to configure them in your terminal or through environment variables. One more trap: `hcloud` takes parameters only as `--param=value`, never space-separated.

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add huaweicloud/huaweicloud-skills --skill huawei-cloud-obs-stats -a claude-code
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `~/.claude/skills/huawei-cloud-obs-stats/SKILL.md` — Copy the whole skill folder; for one project use .claude/skills/huawei-cloud-obs-stats/

### Codex

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add huaweicloud/huaweicloud-skills --skill huawei-cloud-obs-stats -a codex
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.agents/skills/huawei-cloud-obs-stats/SKILL.md` — For all projects use ~/.agents/skills/

### Cursor

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add huaweicloud/huaweicloud-skills --skill huawei-cloud-obs-stats -a cursor
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.cursor/skills/huawei-cloud-obs-stats/SKILL.md` — Cursor also reads .agents/skills/ and .claude/skills/

### GitHub Copilot

1. **GitHub CLI**
```bash
gh skill install huaweicloud/huaweicloud-skills huawei-cloud-obs-stats
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.github/skills/huawei-cloud-obs-stats/SKILL.md`

### Gemini CLI

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add huaweicloud/huaweicloud-skills --skill huawei-cloud-obs-stats -a gemini-cli
```

2. **Platform CLI**
```bash
gemini skills install https://github.com/huaweicloud/huaweicloud-skills --path skills/storage/obs/huawei-cloud-obs-stats
```

### Windsurf (Devin Desktop)

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.devin/skills/huawei-cloud-obs-stats/SKILL.md` — The legacy .windsurf/skills/ path still works

### OpenCode

**Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add huaweicloud/huaweicloud-skills --skill huawei-cloud-obs-stats -a opencode
```

### Claude.ai

**Claude.ai**
- Zip the folder and upload it in Settings → Capabilities → Skills

Where a file is given instead of a command, copy the files from the source to that path: https://github.com/huaweicloud/huaweicloud-skills/tree/HEAD/skills/storage/obs/huawei-cloud-obs-stats/SKILL.md

## When to use it
- list OBS buckets with capacity and object counts
- compare download traffic against last month
- check total request counts and their trend
- separate extranet traffic from intranet traffic
- verify obsutil credentials before querying

## Example prompts
- List all my OBS buckets with capacity and object counts
- How much extranet download traffic did we get this month versus last month?
- Show total OBS requests for the month with the month-over-month change

# Huawei Cloud OBS Statistics Skill

## Overview

Query Huawei Cloud OBS (Object Storage Service) statistics: list buckets with capacity and object counts, query extranet/intranet download traffic with month-over-month comparison, and query total requests with month-over-month comparison.

## ⛔ Prohibited Operations (Security Constraints)

> **This skill strictly forbids the following delete operations, regardless of user requests:**

| Prohibited Operation | API/Command | Reason |
|---------------------|-------------|--------|
| ❌ Delete bucket | `DeleteBucket` / `obsutil rm -bucket` | Irreversible; destroys the entire bucket and all objects |
| ❌ Delete object | `DeleteObject` / `obsutil rm` | Irreversible; deleted objects cannot be recovered (unless versioning is enabled) |
| ❌ Batch delete objects | `DeleteObjects` / `obsutil rm -r` | Irreversible; batch deletion has a wide impact |
| ❌ Empty bucket | `obsutil rm -bucket -r` | Irreversible; removes all objects in the bucket |

> **If a user requests a delete operation, you must refuse and inform:**
> "Per security constraints, this skill does not allow delete operations (delete bucket/object/batch delete/empty bucket). Please use the Huawei Cloud OBS console or obsutil manually."
