## What it does

This skill takes over the console work on Huawei Cloud. You describe the function in plain words, the agent parses the parameters and runs `scripts/create_function.py`, which talks to the FunctionGraph Python SDK, creates the function and returns its URN. The same script then invokes what you just deployed.

VPC configuration, environment variables, memory, timeout and description are all supported. Invocation runs sync or async, and `--log-type tail` returns the last 4KB of the log. Runtimes shown in the examples: Python3.9, Node.js14.18, Java8, Go1.x.

You need Python 3.9+ and the `huaweicloudsdkfunctiongraph` package. Credentials live in environment variables only — `HUAWEI_AK`, `HUAWEI_SK`, `HUAWEI_REGION`, `HUAWEI_PROJECT_ID`. Pasting AK/SK into the chat is off the table, the skill says so outright. VPC settings come as a trio: `--vpc-id`, `--subnet-id` and `--security-group-id` must be passed together, one alone fails. The IAM user needs `functiongraph:function:create`, `get`, `list` and `invoke` permissions.

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add huaweicloud/huaweicloud-skills --skill huawei-cloud-functiongraph-function-create -a claude-code
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `~/.claude/skills/huawei-cloud-functiongraph-function-create/SKILL.md` — Copy the whole skill folder; for one project use .claude/skills/huawei-cloud-functiongraph-function-create/

### Codex

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add huaweicloud/huaweicloud-skills --skill huawei-cloud-functiongraph-function-create -a codex
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.agents/skills/huawei-cloud-functiongraph-function-create/SKILL.md` — For all projects use ~/.agents/skills/

### Cursor

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add huaweicloud/huaweicloud-skills --skill huawei-cloud-functiongraph-function-create -a cursor
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.cursor/skills/huawei-cloud-functiongraph-function-create/SKILL.md` — Cursor also reads .agents/skills/ and .claude/skills/

### GitHub Copilot

1. **GitHub CLI**
```bash
gh skill install huaweicloud/huaweicloud-skills huawei-cloud-functiongraph-function-create
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.github/skills/huawei-cloud-functiongraph-function-create/SKILL.md`

### Gemini CLI

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add huaweicloud/huaweicloud-skills --skill huawei-cloud-functiongraph-function-create -a gemini-cli
```

2. **Platform CLI**
```bash
gemini skills install https://github.com/huaweicloud/huaweicloud-skills --path skills/computing/functiongraph/huawei-cloud-functiongraph-function-create
```

### Windsurf (Devin Desktop)

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.devin/skills/huawei-cloud-functiongraph-function-create/SKILL.md` — The legacy .windsurf/skills/ path still works

### OpenCode

**Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add huaweicloud/huaweicloud-skills --skill huawei-cloud-functiongraph-function-create -a opencode
```

### Claude.ai

**Claude.ai**

## When to use it
- create a FunctionGraph function without opening the Huawei Cloud console
- deploy several functions with the same VPC settings
- test a fresh function with a sync invocation and a sample payload
- wire function deployment into a CI/CD pipeline
- read the log tail after an invocation

## Example prompts
- Create a Python3.9 function named my_handler with handler index.handler from main.py
- Deploy this code to FunctionGraph with VPC configuration and environment variables
- Invoke the function I just created synchronously with body {"source":"test"}

# FunctionGraph Function Creation & Invocation Skill

## Overview

This skill manages FunctionGraph functions on Huawei Cloud, supporting creation with
advanced configuration (VPC, environment variables) and function invocation (sync/async).

**Architecture**: Uses Huawei Cloud FunctionGraph Python SDK to interact with
FunctionGraph service.

**Applicable Scenarios**:

- Quickly create cloud functions without manual console login
- Batch creation of multiple functions with VPC or environment variable configuration
- Foundation component for workflow deployment
- CI/CD integration for function deployment
- Invoke and test deployed functions

**Typical Use Cases**:

1. "Create a Python function named my_handler"
2. "Deploy this code to FunctionGraph with VPC configuration"
3. "Create a function with environment variables"
4. "Invoke the function I just created"

## Prerequisites

### 1. Python Environment

- Python 3.9+
- Verify: `python --version`

### 2. SDK Installation

```bash
pip install huaweicloudsdkfunctiongraph
```

### 3. Authentication Configuration

- Valid Huawei Cloud credentials (AK/SK mode)
- Configure via environment variables:

```bash
export HUAWEI_AK="your-access-key"
export HUAWEI_SK="your-secret-key"
export HUAWEI_REGION="cn-north-4"
export HUAWEI_PROJECT_ID="your-project-id"
```
