## What it does

The skill covers the whole tunnel loop: installing and configuring the CLI, creating, listing, updating and deleting tunnels, managing ports and protocols, hosting a local service, connecting to a remote tunnel from another machine, and signing in with an API Key. Host and Connect both dial out to the Huawei Cloud relay, so the hosting device needs no public inbound port.

Under the hood it ships `db_*` wrappers in `scripts/devbridge_cmd.sh`. Every tunnel, port and host operation goes through them instead of calling `devbridge` directly; only `devbridge auth` and `devbridge version` are exempt. The wrappers read `devbridge <command> --help` first to discover the flags a given release actually supports, which keeps the skill version-agnostic inside v0.2.x. When a command fails anyway, they parse the cobra error and try to recover from renamed flags or commands; if that fails, they point you at the help output.

You need CLI v0.2.x and an API Key. Old v0.1.x builds will not connect: the tunnel domain moved to a new cluster, and the AK/SK flags are gone, so `--access-key`, `--secret-key` and `--security-token` do nothing in v0.2.x. Create the key in the DevBridge console and put it in `DEVBRIDGE_API_KEY` or `HW_API_KEY` for automation. Take the tunnel address from the `devbridge host` output rather than building it by hand.

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add huaweicloud/huaweicloud-skills --skill huawei-cloud-devbridge-tunnel -a claude-code
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `~/.claude/skills/huawei-cloud-devbridge-tunnel/SKILL.md` — Copy the whole skill folder; for one project use .claude/skills/huawei-cloud-devbridge-tunnel/

### Codex

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add huaweicloud/huaweicloud-skills --skill huawei-cloud-devbridge-tunnel -a codex
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.agents/skills/huawei-cloud-devbridge-tunnel/SKILL.md` — For all projects use ~/.agents/skills/

### Cursor

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add huaweicloud/huaweicloud-skills --skill huawei-cloud-devbridge-tunnel -a cursor
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.cursor/skills/huawei-cloud-devbridge-tunnel/SKILL.md` — Cursor also reads .agents/skills/ and .claude/skills/

### GitHub Copilot

1. **GitHub CLI**
```bash
gh skill install huaweicloud/huaweicloud-skills huawei-cloud-devbridge-tunnel
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.github/skills/huawei-cloud-devbridge-tunnel/SKILL.md`

### Gemini CLI

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add huaweicloud/huaweicloud-skills --skill huawei-cloud-devbridge-tunnel -a gemini-cli
```

2. **Platform CLI**
```bash
gemini skills install https://github.com/huaweicloud/huaweicloud-skills --path skills/devtools/devbridge/huawei-cloud-devbridge-tunnel
```

### Windsurf (Devin Desktop)

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.devin/skills/huawei-cloud-devbridge-tunnel/SKILL.md` — The legacy .windsurf/skills/ path still works

### OpenCode

**Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add huaweicloud/huaweicloud-skills --skill huawei-cloud-devbridge-tunnel -a opencode
```

### Claude.ai

## When to use it
- expose a local service to a remote device without an inbound port
- spin up a tunnel for a frontend dev server or local API
- connect to someone else's tunnel from another machine
- receive webhook callbacks during local development
- check tunnel quota and balance

## Example prompts
- Expose my local port 8080 to a remote device with DevBridge
- Create a dev tunnel for my frontend dev server
- Connect to the tunnel from this machine

# Huawei Cloud DevBridge Development Tunnel

Create and manage DevBridge development tunnels to securely expose local development services to remote devices via Huawei Cloud relay infrastructure.

## Overview

DevBridge is a development tunnel service that allows developers to expose local services (web servers, APIs, debug endpoints) to remote devices without opening public inbound ports. The CLI tool (`devbridge`) manages tunnels, ports, host connections, and connect sessions. Host and Connect both initiate outbound connections to the relay service, so the hosting device does not need a public inbound port.

### Architecture

```
Developer Device (Host)                    Remote Device (Connect)
┌──────────────────────┐                  ┌──────────────────────┐
│  Local Service :8080 │                  │  localhost:8080      │
│         │            │                  │         ▲            │
│  devbridge host      │                  │  devbridge connect   │
│         │            │                  │         │            │
