## What it does

hr-automation maps HR processes into structured definitions: a recruiting pipeline from application to hire, a new-hire onboarding flow, PTO requests, a performance review cycle, and offboarding. Each block spells out triggers and actions — who gets a confirmation email, which channel gets a Slack ping, when a deadline reminder fires. The agent reads these schemas and builds the steps for your project.

There is an AI resume screening block: a prompt scores skills and experience match, then a threshold routes the candidate forward, to manual review, or to a rejection. The skill relies on the `hr-mcp` MCP server with `greenhouse_api`, `workday_api` and `bamboohr_api` tools — without it, automated actions in your ATS and HRIS will not run. The recommended model is `claude-sonnet-4`. Skill languages are English and Chinese, so you will rewrite any Russian-language templates yourself.

The workflows follow n8n template patterns, which means porting them into your stack is manual work: these are descriptions, not ready-made integrations. What you do get is a clear view of where a process breaks — an incomplete task escalates to the owner's manager once the deadline passes.

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add claude-office-skills/skills --skill hr-automation -a claude-code
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `~/.claude/skills/hr-automation/SKILL.md` — Copy the whole skill folder; for one project use .claude/skills/hr-automation/

### Codex

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add claude-office-skills/skills --skill hr-automation -a codex
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.agents/skills/hr-automation/SKILL.md` — For all projects use ~/.agents/skills/

### Cursor

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add claude-office-skills/skills --skill hr-automation -a cursor
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.cursor/skills/hr-automation/SKILL.md` — Cursor also reads .agents/skills/ and .claude/skills/

### GitHub Copilot

1. **GitHub CLI**
```bash
gh skill install claude-office-skills/skills hr-automation
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.github/skills/hr-automation/SKILL.md`

### Gemini CLI

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add claude-office-skills/skills --skill hr-automation -a gemini-cli
```

2. **Platform CLI**
```bash
gemini skills install https://github.com/claude-office-skills/skills --path hr-automation
```

### Windsurf (Devin Desktop)

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.devin/skills/hr-automation/SKILL.md` — The legacy .windsurf/skills/ path still works

### OpenCode

**Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add claude-office-skills/skills --skill hr-automation -a opencode
```

### Claude.ai

**Claude.ai**
- Zip the folder and upload it in Settings → Capabilities → Skills

Where a file is given instead of a command, copy the files from the source to that path: https://github.com/claude-office-skills/skills/tree/HEAD/hr-automation/SKILL.md

## When to use it
- lay out a recruiting pipeline with stages and automatic notifications
- build an onboarding checklist with deadlines for the hire, manager and IT
- route a PTO request for approval based on its length
- split a performance review cycle across weeks with reminders
- plan offboarding steps from resignation to handover

## Example prompts
- build a recruiting pipeline from hr-automation for our ATS
- make a 30-day onboarding checklist using this skill
- describe the PTO approval route: up to 3 days goes to the manager, longer goes to HR
