# helius-jupiter

A skill that gives your coding agent reference docs for Jupiter's DeFi APIs and Helius infrastructure. Useful when you write Solana swap, lending or DCA code.

## What it does

The skill loads an agent with context on two API families. Jupiter covers Swap API V2, the Lend protocol, Trigger limit orders, Recurring DCA, token and price data, Perps and Predictions, and an embeddable swap widget. Helius covers transaction submission through Sender, priority fee estimates, DAS asset queries, live streaming over WebSockets and LaserStream, and the Wallet API.

Under the hood sit reference files the agent reads before writing code: `references/jupiter-swap.md`, `references/helius-sender.md`, `references/helius-priority-fees.md`, `references/integration-patterns.md` and more. Intent routing picks the right set — say “limit order” or “DCA” and the agent opens the matching files. Helius calls go through the `helius-mcp` server, which exposes ten tools such as `heliusChain`, `heliusAsset`, `heliusTransaction` and `expandResult`.

Two keys are required up front. Jupiter endpoints want an `x-api-key` header, issued at developers.jup.ag/portal. Without the Helius MCP server nothing works: if tools like `heliusWallet` are missing, the agent halts and asks you to run `claude mcp add helius npx helius-mcp@2.3.0`, then restart Claude. Calling the APIs with curl instead is not an option here.

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add helius-labs/core-ai --skill helius-jupiter -a claude-code
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `~/.claude/skills/helius-jupiter/SKILL.md` — Copy the whole skill folder; for one project use .claude/skills/helius-jupiter/

### Codex

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add helius-labs/core-ai --skill helius-jupiter -a codex
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.agents/skills/helius-jupiter/SKILL.md` — For all projects use ~/.agents/skills/

### Cursor

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add helius-labs/core-ai --skill helius-jupiter -a cursor
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.cursor/skills/helius-jupiter/SKILL.md` — Cursor also reads .agents/skills/ and .claude/skills/

### GitHub Copilot

1. **GitHub CLI**
```bash
gh skill install helius-labs/core-ai helius-jupiter
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.github/skills/helius-jupiter/SKILL.md`

### Gemini CLI

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add helius-labs/core-ai --skill helius-jupiter -a gemini-cli
```

2. **Platform CLI**
```bash
gemini skills install https://github.com/helius-labs/core-ai --path helius-skills/helius-jupiter
```

### Windsurf (Devin Desktop)

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.devin/skills/helius-jupiter/SKILL.md` — The legacy .windsurf/skills/ path still works

### OpenCode

**Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add helius-labs/core-ai --skill helius-jupiter -a opencode
```

### Claude.ai

**Claude.ai**
- Zip the folder and upload it in Settings → Capabilities → Skills

Where a file is given instead of a command, copy the files from the source to that path: https://github.com/helius-labs/core-ai/tree/HEAD/helius-skills/helius-jupiter/SKILL.md

## When to use it
- swap SPL tokens on Solana with routed quotes
- place limit orders with take-profit and stop-loss pairs
- schedule recurring token buys
- query lending rates and vault positions
- stream on-chain events as they land

## Example prompts
- Swap SOL for USDC using the Jupiter Swap API and submit through Helius Sender
- Build a limit order UI with OCO take-profit and stop-loss
- Set up a DCA order that buys 10 USDC every week

# Helius x Jupiter — Build DeFi Apps on Solana

You are an expert Solana developer building DeFi applications with Jupiter's APIs and Helius's infrastructure. Jupiter is the leading Solana DEX aggregator and DeFi suite — providing token swaps, lending/borrowing, limit orders, DCA, token data, and more. Helius provides superior transaction submission (Sender), priority fee optimization, asset queries (DAS), real-time on-chain streaming (WebSockets, LaserStream), and wallet intelligence (Wallet API).

## MCP Router Surface

Helius MCP now exposes 10 public tools total: 9 routed domain tools plus `expandResult`.
`heliusAccount`, `heliusWallet`, `heliusAsset`, `heliusTransaction`, `heliusChain`, `heliusStreaming`, `heliusKnowledge`, `heliusWrite`, `heliusCompression`, and `expandResult`.

This skill still names Helius action names such as `getPriorityFeeEstimate`, `getAssetsByOwner`, or `parseTransactions`. Translate them to router calls by keeping the action name and choosing the right domain tool.

Examples:
- `heliusChain({ action: "getPriorityFeeEstimate", accountKeys: ["..."] })`
- `heliusAsset({ action: "getAssetsByOwner", ownerAddress: "..." })`
- `heliusTransaction({ action: "parseTransactions", transactions: ["..."] })`

## Prerequisites

Before doing anything, verify these:

### 1. Helius MCP Server

**CRITICAL**: Check if Helius MCP public tools are available (e.g., `heliusWallet`, `heliusAsset`, `heliusChain`). If they are NOT available, **STOP**. Do NOT attempt to call Helius APIs via curl or any other workaround. Tell the user:

```
You need to install the Helius MCP server first:
claude mcp add helius npx helius-mcp@2.3.0
Then restart Claude so the tools become available.
```

### 2. Jupiter API Key

Jupiter REST endpoints require an API key via the `x-api-key` header. Get one at [developers.jup.ag/portal](https://developers.jup.ag/portal). If the user doesn't have one, read `references/jupiter-portal.md` for setup instructions.

### 3. Helius API Key
