## What it does

groove-utilities-prime runs the shell script `bash .agents/skills/groove-utilities-prime/scripts/groove-utilities-prime.sh` and sends that script’s output to the conversation. It is intended for the start of every session, so the agent receives the project’s groove workflow context before work begins.

The skill itself does not write files. The script updates its own cache, then its standard output is shown as-is in the conversation. In Claude Code, installation uses `npx skills add`, and the installed file is placed at `~/.claude/skills/groove-utilities-prime/SKILL.md`. The launch fails when `.agents/skills/groove-utilities-prime/scripts/groove-utilities-prime.sh` is missing from the project.

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add andreadellacorte/groove --skill groove-utilities-prime -a claude-code
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `~/.claude/skills/groove-utilities-prime/SKILL.md` — Copy the whole skill folder; for one project use .claude/skills/groove-utilities-prime/

### Codex

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add andreadellacorte/groove --skill groove-utilities-prime -a codex
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.agents/skills/groove-utilities-prime/SKILL.md` — For all projects use ~/.agents/skills/

### Cursor

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add andreadellacorte/groove --skill groove-utilities-prime -a cursor
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.cursor/skills/groove-utilities-prime/SKILL.md` — Cursor also reads .agents/skills/ and .claude/skills/

### GitHub Copilot

1. **GitHub CLI**
```bash
gh skill install andreadellacorte/groove groove-utilities-prime
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.github/skills/groove-utilities-prime/SKILL.md`

### Gemini CLI

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add andreadellacorte/groove --skill groove-utilities-prime -a gemini-cli
```

2. **Platform CLI**
```bash
gemini skills install https://github.com/andreadellacorte/groove --path skills/groove-utilities-prime
```

### Windsurf (Devin Desktop)

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.devin/skills/groove-utilities-prime/SKILL.md` — The legacy .windsurf/skills/ path still works

### OpenCode

**Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add andreadellacorte/groove --skill groove-utilities-prime -a opencode
```

### Claude.ai

**Claude.ai**
- Zip the folder and upload it in Settings → Capabilities → Skills

Where a file is given instead of a command, copy the files from the source to that path: https://github.com/andreadellacorte/groove/tree/HEAD/skills/groove-utilities-prime/SKILL.md

## When to use it
- load groove context into a new session
- run the project’s prime shell script
- show workflow context to the agent
- let the script update its cache

## Example prompts
- Start the session by running `groove-utilities-prime` and show the script output.
- Load the groove workflow context before working on this task.
- Run `bash .agents/skills/groove-utilities-prime/scripts/groove-utilities-prime.sh` and pass its output into the conversation.

Run the prime shell script and output its result to the conversation:

```bash
bash .agents/skills/groove-utilities-prime/scripts/groove-utilities-prime.sh
```

Do not write to any file (the script handles its own cache updates). Output the script's stdout verbatim.
