# grimoire-hyperliquid

A skill that lets your agent pull Hyperliquid market data through the Grimoire CLI: mids, order books, metadata, open orders. Withdrawals too, when asked.

## What it does

The skill wires the Grimoire venue CLI into your agent under `grimoire venue hyperliquid`. Read-only calls cover `mids` for perp mid prices, `l2-book --coin <symbol>`, `open-orders --user <address>`, plus `meta` and `spot-meta`. The `-snapshot` variants emit `params:` blocks for spell inputs and are meant for the agent alone — interactive output is suppressed.

Run `grimoire venue doctor --adapter hyperliquid --json` first. The `withdraw` command is stateful: it wants `HYPERLIQUID_PRIVATE_KEY` in the environment, a keystore, and a clear confirmation from you. Orders go through a `custom` action with `op: "order"`; accepted TIF values are `Gtc`, `Ioc`, `Alo` and `FrontendMarket`. Runtime constraints such as `max_slippage` are not supported — order parameters get checked at the adapter boundary instead.

To compare symbols by midpoint, use the `mid_price` metric: `hl_mid = metric("mid_price", hyperliquid, ETH)`. Pick `--format spell` for spell inputs, `--format json` when scripting `meta` or `spot-meta`, and `--format table` for compact summaries of nested payloads. EVM tooling like `anvil` or `cast` is of no use here.

npx skills add franalgaba/grimoire --skill grimoire-hyperliquid -a claude-code
```
2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `~/.claude/skills/grimoire-hyperliquid/SKILL.md` — Copy the whole skill folder; for one project use .claude/skills/grimoire-hyperliquid/
### Codex
1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add franalgaba/grimoire --skill grimoire-hyperliquid -a codex
```
2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.agents/skills/grimoire-hyperliquid/SKILL.md` — For all projects use ~/.agents/skills/
### Cursor
## When to use it
- read mid prices across all perp assets
- pull the L2 book for one coin
- list open orders for an address
- grab perp and spot market metadata
- emit a `params:` block for a spell input
## Example prompts
- Show Hyperliquid mid prices as a table
- Fetch the L2 book for BTC and output it as a spell
- Run the Hyperliquid doctor check and print the JSON
