## What it does

The skill directs coding agents through structured agile steps inside Gitea-hosted projects. It determines workflow state automatically by checking active `git worktree` paths, `task/*` branches, uncommitted diffs, and open PRs reported by `tea pulls`. Checkpoints pause execution at key decision gates: confirming task selection, verifying test results, and approving pull request creation.

It organizes work into three tracks: the standard task lifecycle, daily morning and evening routines, and sprint ceremonies. Implementation runs in separate git worktrees using a test-first approach followed by automated code and test review checks.

Without an authenticated `tea` CLI, valid `GITEA_URL` and `GITEA_TOKEN` variables, and the `context-network/backlog/` folder layout, this skill will not run. It does not target GitHub repositories; those require the companion `agile-workflow` skill instead.

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add jwynia/agent-skills --skill gitea-workflow -a claude-code
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `~/.claude/skills/gitea-workflow/SKILL.md` — Copy the whole skill folder; for one project use .claude/skills/gitea-workflow/

### Codex

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add jwynia/agent-skills --skill gitea-workflow -a codex
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.agents/skills/gitea-workflow/SKILL.md` — For all projects use ~/.agents/skills/

### Cursor

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add jwynia/agent-skills --skill gitea-workflow -a cursor
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.cursor/skills/gitea-workflow/SKILL.md` — Cursor also reads .agents/skills/ and .claude/skills/

### GitHub Copilot

1. **GitHub CLI**
```bash
gh skill install jwynia/agent-skills gitea-workflow
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.github/skills/gitea-workflow/SKILL.md`

### Gemini CLI

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add jwynia/agent-skills --skill gitea-workflow -a gemini-cli
```

2. **Platform CLI**
```bash
gemini skills install https://github.com/jwynia/agent-skills --path skills/tech/development/workflow/gitea-workflow
```

### Windsurf (Devin Desktop)

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.devin/skills/gitea-workflow/SKILL.md` — The legacy .windsurf/skills/ path still works

### OpenCode

**Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add jwynia/agent-skills --skill gitea-workflow -a opencode
```

### Claude.ai

Where a file is given instead of a command, copy the files from the source to that path: https://github.com/jwynia/agent-skills/tree/HEAD/skills/tech/development/workflow/gitea-workflow/SKILL.md

## When to use it
- orchestrate development steps from task branch to pull request
- keep local backlog markdown files in sync with Gitea
- run morning standups and evening checkouts for the agent
- isolate feature development using git worktrees

## Example prompts
- Run morning standup: `/gitea-workflow --phase daily-morning`
- Start work on a specific ticket: `/gitea-workflow --task TASK-123`
- Detect current state and continue working: `/gitea-workflow`

# Gitea Workflow Orchestrator

A skill that guides agents through structured agile development workflows for Gitea repositories by intelligently invoking commands in sequence. Uses checkpoint-based flow control to auto-progress between steps while pausing at key decision points.

## When to Use This Skill

Use this skill when:
- Working with a Gitea-hosted repository
- Starting work for the day ("run morning standup", "start my day")
- Working on a task ("implement next task", "continue working")
- Completing a development cycle ("finish this task", "prepare PR")
- Running sprint ceremonies ("start sprint", "end sprint", "retrospective")
- Resuming interrupted work ("what's next", "where was I")

Do NOT use this skill when:
- Working with GitHub repositories (use agile-workflow instead)
- Running a single specific command (use that command directly)
- Just checking status (use `/status` directly)
- Only doing code review without full cycle (use `/review-code` directly)
- Researching or planning without implementation

## Prerequisites

Before using this skill:
- **Git repository** initialized with worktree support
- **Gitea Tea CLI** installed and authenticated (`tea login`)
- **Context network** with backlog structure at `context-network/backlog/`
- Task status files at `context-network/backlog/by-status/*.md`
- **GITEA_URL** environment variable set (or configured in tea)
- **GITEA_TOKEN** environment variable set for API scripts

## Workflow Types Overview
