# gitea-coordinator

Hands ready backlog tasks in Gitea to worker agents, tracks their progress and merges the pull requests. Useful when you want a batch of tasks done in one run.

## What it does

The skill is an orchestrator, not an implementer. It reads `context/backlog/`, picks tasks with status ready, sorts them by priority and assigns each one to a worker through the Task tool. Every worker runs the `gitea-workflow` skill and reports back in `.coordinator/workers/{worker-id}/progress.json`.

Two execution modes. The default is `--sequential`, one task at a time. With `--parallel` workers start together, capped at two unless you raise it with `--max-workers N`. Merges still happen one by one to keep conflicts out of the way. Run `/gitea-coordinator --dry-run` first if you want to see the plan before anything moves.

You need git, the Gitea Tea CLI (`tea`), a context network with a backlog structure, and Claude's Task tool. If `tea` is not pointed at your Gitea instance, the skill finds no tasks. A merge conflict pauses the whole run and waits for you.

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add jwynia/agent-skills --skill gitea-coordinator -a claude-code
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `~/.claude/skills/gitea-coordinator/SKILL.md` — Copy the whole skill folder; for one project use .claude/skills/gitea-coordinator/

### Codex

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add jwynia/agent-skills --skill gitea-coordinator -a codex
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.agents/skills/gitea-coordinator/SKILL.md` — For all projects use ~/.agents/skills/

### Cursor

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add jwynia/agent-skills --skill gitea-coordinator -a cursor
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.cursor/skills/gitea-coordinator/SKILL.md` — Cursor also reads .agents/skills/ and .claude/skills/

### GitHub Copilot

1. **GitHub CLI**
```bash
gh skill install jwynia/agent-skills gitea-coordinator
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.github/skills/gitea-coordinator/SKILL.md`

### Gemini CLI

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add jwynia/agent-skills --skill gitea-coordinator -a gemini-cli
```

2. **Platform CLI**
```bash
gemini skills install https://github.com/jwynia/agent-skills --path skills/tech/development/workflow/gitea-coordinator
```

### Windsurf (Devin Desktop)

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.devin/skills/gitea-coordinator/SKILL.md` — The legacy .windsurf/skills/ path still works

### OpenCode

**Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add jwynia/agent-skills --skill gitea-coordinator -a opencode
```

## When to use it
- work through a batch of ready backlog tasks without launching each one by hand
- split tasks across several workers and keep track of who is doing what
- merge pull requests into main one at a time without conflicts
- check the build and test suite after all merges land
- preview the execution plan with a dry run

## Example prompts
- /gitea-coordinator --dry-run
- /gitea-coordinator TASK-001 TASK-002
- /gitea-coordinator --parallel --max-workers 3

# Gitea Coordinator

Orchestrates multiple worker agents to implement groomed tasks from the backlog in Gitea repositories, handling task assignment, progress monitoring, merge coordination, and verification.

## Core Principle

**Coordinate, don't implement.** The coordinator assigns tasks to workers, monitors their progress, coordinates merges, and verifies results. Workers execute the actual implementation via the `gitea-workflow` skill.

## Quick Reference

### When to Use
- Working with a Gitea-hosted repository
- Multiple ready tasks in the backlog need implementation
- You want autonomous batch execution of development work
- You need coordinated merges to avoid conflicts
- You want progress tracking across multiple tasks

### Invocation

```bash
/gitea-coordinator                    # Auto-discover and execute ready tasks
/gitea-coordinator TASK-001 TASK-002  # Execute specific tasks
/gitea-coordinator --dry-run          # Preview execution plan only
/gitea-coordinator --parallel         # Run workers in parallel
/gitea-coordinator --sequential       # Run workers one at a time (default)
```

### Flags

| Flag | Description | Default |
|------|-------------|---------|
| `--sequential` | Execute tasks one at a time | Yes |
| `--parallel` | Execute tasks concurrently | No |
| `--max-workers N` | Maximum concurrent workers | 2 |
| `--dry-run` | Show plan without executing | No |
| `--autonomous` | Auto-continue at all checkpoints | Yes |
| `--supervised` | Pause after each task completes | No |
| `--verbose` | Show all worker updates | No |
| `--summary-only` | Show major milestones only | Yes |

---

## Workflow Phases

### Phase 1: Discovery

Read the backlog to find tasks ready for implementation.

```
Actions:
1. Read context/backlog/ for task files
2. Filter to status: ready
3. Parse task metadata (priority, size, dependencies)
4. Sort by priority (high → medium → low)
5. Present findings
Output: List of ready tasks with metadata
```

### Phase 2: Planning

Create an execution plan based on task characteristics.

```
Actions:
