## What it does

This skill guides how you structure AI capabilities in Firebase projects. It forces a clear architectural choice early. You decide whether to call models directly from a mobile or web client using the Firebase AI Logic SDK, or move the logic into structured backend workflows powered by Genkit.

The workflow follows structured intake steps. It identifies the feature boundary, then selects an operating mode covering flow design, tool calling, retrieval, prompt files, or tracing. It also covers runtime configurations such as running jobs on Cloud Run.

Routine operations like managing emulators, auth configuration, or hosting deploys belong in `firebase-cli` rather than this skill.
