## What it does

This skill inspects connected catalogs, metadata, and company artifacts to clarify ambiguous tasks. Instead of jumping straight into SQL or statistical runs, it identifies who owns the subject, what the metric represents, and which decision is currently on the table.

The process uses targeted search anchors instead of loose guesses. It checks schemas, views, and shared records, then compares duplicates. If an earlier specification disagrees with what actually shipped, it gives precedence to the live implementation and records the discrepancy openly.

It deliberately stops short of diagnostics or reporting. Once the framing note with sources and known caveats is assembled, it routes the downstream task to skills like `$metric-diagnostics` or `$build-report`.
