## What it does

The skill hands your agent a set of building blocks for polishing a Next.js app. The component library covers a button with primary, secondary, outline, ghost and danger variants in three sizes, a card with CardHeader, CardTitle, CardDescription, CardContent and CardFooter, plus text inputs and a textarea with validation states, icons and helper text.

Two reference documents carry the design side. `references/design_principles.md` walks through visual hierarchy, spacing, typography and accessibility at WCAG AA/AAA. `references/color_palettes.md` lists six schemes — Corporate Blue, Vibrant Purple, Minimalist Gray, Warm Sunset, Ocean Fresh and Dark Mode — each with primary, accent, background, text, semantic and border colors. Animations live in `assets/animations.css`: fade, slide, scale, skeleton shimmer and hover effects, all respecting `prefers-reduced-motion`.

Layouts are separate files. `assets/layout-hero-section.tsx` gives a centered, split or minimal hero with CTA support, and `assets/layout-feature-grid.tsx` builds a 2, 3 or 4 column grid with staggered animation. Copy the file you want into your components directory and make sure the `cn` helper from `assets/utils-cn.ts` is present — the components import it, so a missing helper breaks the build on the first import.

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add ailabs-393/ai-labs-claude-skills --skill frontend-enhancer -a claude-code
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `~/.claude/skills/frontend-enhancer/SKILL.md` — Copy the whole skill folder; for one project use .claude/skills/frontend-enhancer/

### Codex

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add ailabs-393/ai-labs-claude-skills --skill frontend-enhancer -a codex
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.agents/skills/frontend-enhancer/SKILL.md` — For all projects use ~/.agents/skills/

### Cursor

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add ailabs-393/ai-labs-claude-skills --skill frontend-enhancer -a cursor
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.cursor/skills/frontend-enhancer/SKILL.md` — Cursor also reads .agents/skills/ and .claude/skills/

### GitHub Copilot

1. **GitHub CLI**
```bash
gh skill install ailabs-393/ai-labs-claude-skills frontend-enhancer
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.github/skills/frontend-enhancer/SKILL.md`

### Gemini CLI

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add ailabs-393/ai-labs-claude-skills --skill frontend-enhancer -a gemini-cli
```

2. **Platform CLI**
```bash
gemini skills install https://github.com/ailabs-393/ai-labs-claude-skills --path dist/skills/frontend-enhancer
```

### Windsurf (Devin Desktop)

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.devin/skills/frontend-enhancer/SKILL.md` — The legacy .windsurf/skills/ path still works

### OpenCode

**Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add ailabs-393/ai-labs-claude-skills --skill frontend-enhancer -a opencode
```

### Claude.ai

**Claude.ai**
- Zip the folder and upload it in Settings → Capabilities → Skills

Where a file is given instead of a command, copy the files from the source to that path: https://github.com/ailabs-393/ai-labs-claude-skills/tree/HEAD/dist/skills/frontend-enhancer/SKILL.md

## When to use it
- build a hero section with two calls to action
- pick a palette and wire it into the Tailwind config
- add staggered entrance animations to a feature list
- unify button and card variants across pages
- check a page against WCAG AA contrast rules

## Example prompts
- Rework the landing page visuals with frontend-enhancer: centered hero and the Corporate Blue palette
- Add the frontend-enhancer button and card components, then tell me what to change in the styles
- Run frontend-enhancer over the pricing page: 3-column feature grid with fade-in animations
