## What it does

This skill explains how freeCodeCamp’s repository is organized and where curriculum challenges live: `curriculum/challenges/`. It covers using `pnpm run create-challenge` to start a challenge, shaping its Markdown file, and checking work with `pnpm run test:curriculum`. Challenge tests go in `# --hints--` sections and can inspect code or the DOM.

The local setup guide requires Node.js 20+, pnpm 9+, and MongoDB. GitHub OAuth also calls for a GitHub account. The steps cover installing packages, configuring `.env`, seeding the database, and starting the development servers. Without MongoDB, the documented local setup cannot be completed. The skill also walks through adding Fastify routes to the API.
