# fish-audio

A skill that turns text into speech with Fish Audio voices, or clones a voice from an HTTPS recording. Handy when narration should not require opening the console by hand.

## What it does

The skill hands the agent Fish Audio through the AceDataCloud API. It synthesizes speech with a chosen `reference_id`, searches the public voice library by title, and can clone a voice from an audio file behind an HTTPS link. A synchronous call answers with a link to the finished audio.

Under the hood are calls to `POST /fish/tts` and `POST /fish/model`, plus voice browsing through `GET /fish/model`. A one-off clone sends `references` holding a public MP3 or WAV and the exact words spoken in it. That clip has to run 10–270 seconds. Publishing a voice as a lasting model makes sense only when the recording's owner agreed to it.

The agent process needs `ACEDATACLOUD_API_TOKEN` set to a key from the AceDataCloud console. Keep it in the environment, never in a prompt. With Allowed APIs restrictions enabled on the application, `/fish/tts` and `/fish/tasks` must be on the list. No token means every request fails authorization.

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add AceDataCloud/Skills --skill fish-audio -a claude-code
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `~/.claude/skills/fish-audio/SKILL.md` — Copy the whole skill folder; for one project use .claude/skills/fish-audio/

### Codex

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add AceDataCloud/Skills --skill fish-audio -a codex
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.agents/skills/fish-audio/SKILL.md` — For all projects use ~/.agents/skills/

### Cursor

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add AceDataCloud/Skills --skill fish-audio -a cursor
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.cursor/skills/fish-audio/SKILL.md` — Cursor also reads .agents/skills/ and .claude/skills/

### GitHub Copilot

1. **GitHub CLI**
```bash
gh skill install AceDataCloud/Skills fish-audio
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.github/skills/fish-audio/SKILL.md`

### Gemini CLI

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add AceDataCloud/Skills --skill fish-audio -a gemini-cli
```

2. **Platform CLI**
```bash
gemini skills install https://github.com/AceDataCloud/Skills --path skills/fish-audio
```

### Windsurf (Devin Desktop)

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.devin/skills/fish-audio/SKILL.md` — The legacy .windsurf/skills/ path still works

### OpenCode

**Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add AceDataCloud/Skills --skill fish-audio -a opencode
```

### Claude.ai

**Claude.ai**
- Zip the folder and upload it in Settings → Capabilities → Skills

Where a file is given instead of a command, copy the files from the source to that path: https://github.com/AceDataCloud/Skills/tree/HEAD/skills/fish-audio/SKILL.md

## When to use it
- voice a block of text with a saved library voice
- look up a saved voice by title or tags
- clone a voice from a short HTTPS clip without saving a model
- run a long narration in the background with a webhook callback
- see which voices the account already created on the platform

## Example prompts
- Read this paragraph aloud with voice `d7900c21663f485ab63ebdb7e5905036` as mp3
- Search Fish Audio for voices titled Marcus and list their `_id` values
- Generate speech with a one-off clone from `https://cdn.acedata.cloud/reference.mp3` and its transcript

# Fish Audio — Text-to-Speech

Generate narration / voiceover through AceDataCloud's Fish Audio API.

## First-time setup

1. Already installed from skills.sh? Continue at step 2. For a coding agent, install with `npx skills add acedatacloud/skills --skill fish-audio --yes` ([installation and first run](https://github.com/AceDataCloud/Skills#first-run-from-skillssh)). For OpenClaw, use `clawhub install @acedatacloud/fish-audio` and check that the ClawHub publisher is **@acedatacloud**.
2. Sign in at [AceDataCloud → Applications](https://platform.acedata.cloud/console/applications), open **General application**, and check Fish Audio access, balance, and current pricing. Copy its API key, or select **Manage Keys → Create** for a separate key. Copy the key value without `Bearer `; a `platform-...` management token is not a service API key.
3. If you enable **Allowed APIs** restrictions, include `/fish/tts` (and `/fish/tasks` for asynchronous TTS). Advanced workflows below may call additional routes.
4. For a coding agent or direct command, export `ACEDATACLOUD_API_TOKEN="your_api_key_here"` in the environment of the process that runs the Skill; project `.env` loading is agent-specific. For OpenClaw, put `ACEDATACLOUD_API_TOKEN=your_api_key_here` in `~/.openclaw/.env` on the Gateway host, then restart the Gateway and start a new session. Never put the key in a prompt or commit an `.env` file.
5. Run the **Quick Start** below. If this workflow returns a task ID, query that same task until it finishes; do not submit the same billable request again just to check progress.

If you came from skills.sh, use [Applications for this first run](https://platform.acedata.cloud/console/applications?utm_source=skills_sh&utm_medium=referral&utm_campaign=evergreen&utm_content=fish_audio_first_run). Check the current price before generating audio.

## Quick Start

```bash
curl -X POST https://api.acedata.cloud/fish/tts \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $ACEDATACLOUD_API_TOKEN" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -H "model: s2-pro" \
