## What it does

The skill drives an agent through a product step by step. It opens pages in the Firecrawl browser, snapshots each state, and records what a user sees and can do there. The deliverable is a markdown report: product overview, a walkthrough per flow, key findings, recommendations, and every page visited.

When the product address is already clear from the conversation, it starts right away. Otherwise it asks up to three short questions: the address, the flow to focus on, and credentials for protected areas. Big jobs get split across parallel sub-agents covering homepage, signup and onboarding, pricing, docs, dashboard, and support. Each one reports screens, actions, observations and friction. Observation stays separate from opinion; that is written into the quality bar.

You need `FIRECRAWL_API_KEY` for hosted Firecrawl requests, so add it before the first run. Signups, purchases and irreversible actions are off limits unless you explicitly allow them and have the rights, which means the account area and checkout are yours to open. Worth deciding upfront which steps the agent may touch.

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add firecrawl/firecrawl-workflows --skill firecrawl-demo-walkthrough -a claude-code
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `~/.claude/skills/firecrawl-demo-walkthrough/SKILL.md` — Copy the whole skill folder; for one project use .claude/skills/firecrawl-demo-walkthrough/

### Codex

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add firecrawl/firecrawl-workflows --skill firecrawl-demo-walkthrough -a codex
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.agents/skills/firecrawl-demo-walkthrough/SKILL.md` — For all projects use ~/.agents/skills/

### Cursor

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add firecrawl/firecrawl-workflows --skill firecrawl-demo-walkthrough -a cursor
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.cursor/skills/firecrawl-demo-walkthrough/SKILL.md` — Cursor also reads .agents/skills/ and .claude/skills/

### GitHub Copilot

1. **GitHub CLI**
```bash
gh skill install firecrawl/firecrawl-workflows firecrawl-demo-walkthrough
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.github/skills/firecrawl-demo-walkthrough/SKILL.md`

### Gemini CLI

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add firecrawl/firecrawl-workflows --skill firecrawl-demo-walkthrough -a gemini-cli
```

2. **Platform CLI**
```bash
gemini skills install https://github.com/firecrawl/firecrawl-workflows --path skills/firecrawl-demo-walkthrough
```

### Windsurf (Devin Desktop)

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.devin/skills/firecrawl-demo-walkthrough/SKILL.md` — The legacy .windsurf/skills/ path still works

### OpenCode

**Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add firecrawl/firecrawl-workflows --skill firecrawl-demo-walkthrough -a opencode
```

### Claude.ai

**Claude.ai**
- Zip the folder and upload it in Settings → Capabilities → Skills

Where a file is given instead of a command, copy the files from the source to that path: https://github.com/firecrawl/firecrawl-workflows/tree/HEAD/skills/firecrawl-demo-walkthrough/SKILL.md

## When to use it
- walk the signup and onboarding of a product screen by screen
- pull together material for a product demo
- read a pricing page the way a newcomer would
- spot friction in a first-run experience
- turn the whole tour into one markdown report with recommendations

## Example prompts
- Walk the product flows: homepage, signup, pricing, dashboard. Snapshot each step and write the report in markdown.
- Do a UX teardown of onboarding and docs, keep observations apart from opinions.
- Cover pricing only, leave the rest alone: set focus: pricing in the rerun inputs.

# Firecrawl Demo Walkthrough

Use this to document a product experience step by step.

## Onboarding Interview

Infer the product URL, flow focus, and output format from context. If the URL is clear, proceed immediately.

Ask at most 1-3 concise questions only if blocked, such as the URL, desired flow focus, or credentials/constraints for protected areas.

## Firecrawl Collection Plan

Use Firecrawl browser to open the product and navigate key flows. Snapshot at each step, scrape pages when useful, and document what the user sees and can do.

Do not submit real credentials, purchases, or irreversible actions unless the user explicitly instructs and has permission.

## Parallel Work

If appropriate, use sub-agents or equivalent parallel task runners:

- Homepage and Marketing
- Signup and Onboarding
- Pricing and Plans
- Docs and Developer Experience
- Dashboard and Core Product
- Help and Support

Each walker should return screens visited, actions taken, observations, friction, and source URLs.

## Final Deliverable

```markdown
# Product Walkthrough: [Product]
## Product Overview
[What the product does]
## Flow Walkthroughs
### [Flow Name]
1. [Screen/Page] - what appears and what action is available
2. [Next Screen] - what changes
## Key Findings
[First impression, standout patterns, friction points]
## Recommendations
[UX/product improvements]
## Pages Visited
[URLs]
## Rerun Inputs
workflow: firecrawl-demo-walkthrough
url: [url]
focus: [full/signup/pricing/docs/dashboard]
```

## Quality Bar

- Be specific about screens, CTAs, forms, and transitions.
- Separate observation from opinion.
- Preserve every page visited.
