## What it does

The skill drives the `apidojo/tiktok-music-scraper` actor on Apify. You hand it TikTok music page links in `startUrls` and cap the volume with `maxItems`. Every post comes back with the author handle, follower count, views, likes, hashtags and song metadata.

Ranking is built in. Followers carry a 0.35 weight, engagement as `(likes + comments) / views` another 0.35, and views the remaining 0.30. The total score sorts creators into tiers from `PRIME_CREATOR` down to `LOW_PRIORITY`. Runs go through `scripts/run_actor.js`, with CSV or JSON output; a REST API call with `APIFY_TOKEN` works as a fallback.

You have to supply the sound URL yourself — nothing runs without it. A track pulled for copyright returns an empty page. The same account can appear more than once, so the skill tells you to dedupe on `channel.username`. Some sounds only trend in certain countries, and the results will show that skew.

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add apidojo-io/apidojo-skills --skill finding-tiktok-creators-using-trending-sounds -a claude-code
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `~/.claude/skills/finding-tiktok-creators-using-trending-sounds/SKILL.md` — Copy the whole skill folder; for one project use .claude/skills/finding-tiktok-creators-using-trending-sounds/

### Codex

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add apidojo-io/apidojo-skills --skill finding-tiktok-creators-using-trending-sounds -a codex
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.agents/skills/finding-tiktok-creators-using-trending-sounds/SKILL.md` — For all projects use ~/.agents/skills/

### Cursor

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add apidojo-io/apidojo-skills --skill finding-tiktok-creators-using-trending-sounds -a cursor
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.cursor/skills/finding-tiktok-creators-using-trending-sounds/SKILL.md` — Cursor also reads .agents/skills/ and .claude/skills/

### GitHub Copilot

1. **GitHub CLI**
```bash
gh skill install apidojo-io/apidojo-skills finding-tiktok-creators-using-trending-sounds
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**

**Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add apidojo-io/apidojo-skills --skill finding-tiktok-creators-using-trending-sounds -a opencode
### Claude.ai
**Claude.ai**
- Zip the folder and upload it in Settings → Capabilities → Skills
Where a file is given instead of a command, copy the files from the source to that path: https://github.com/apidojo-io/apidojo-skills/tree/HEAD/skills/intent/finding-tiktok-creators-using-trending-sounds/SKILL.md
## When to use it
- list accounts that posted to a specific track
- filter out small creators and keep the high-engagement ones
- catch early participants in a sound trend before it fades
- export post metadata for a sound into CSV
- see which countries a sound is picking up in
## Example prompts
- Find TikTok creators who posted to this sound: `https://www.tiktok.com/music/Trending-Sound-Title-123456`, up to 200 posts.
- Run `apidojo~tiktok-music-scraper` on that sound URL and save the output to `results.csv`.
- Score the creators you found and show me only the ones in the `PRIME_CREATOR` tier.
