## What it does

The skill covers Filament v5, Laravel's admin panel framework with a server-driven UI. It explains the pieces you actually touch: the PanelProvider that configures a panel, resources that give Eloquent models a full CRUD interface, schema-based forms and tables, modal actions, and dashboard widgets. Reference guides sit in `references/` for forms, tables, resources, infolists, widgets, actions, notifications, schemas, testing and authorization.

Requirements are Laravel 11.28+, PHP 8.2+, Livewire v4 and Tailwind CSS v4.1+. Install Filament with `composer require filament/filament:"^5.0" -W`, then `php artisan filament:install --scaffold`, build assets and create an admin user. On Livewire v3 or Tailwind v3 the examples won't line up, so upgrade first.

Testing is documented with Pest PHP and Livewire helpers: list, create and edit pages, form validation, table search and filters, plus policy checks. A command table lists `make:filament-resource`, `make:filament-page`, `make:filament-widget` and the rest.

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add marcelorodrigo/agent-skills --skill filament-pro -a claude-code
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `~/.claude/skills/filament-pro/SKILL.md` — Copy the whole skill folder; for one project use .claude/skills/filament-pro/

### Codex

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add marcelorodrigo/agent-skills --skill filament-pro -a codex
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.agents/skills/filament-pro/SKILL.md` — For all projects use ~/.agents/skills/

### Cursor

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add marcelorodrigo/agent-skills --skill filament-pro -a cursor
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.cursor/skills/filament-pro/SKILL.md` — Cursor also reads .agents/skills/ and .claude/skills/

### GitHub Copilot

1. **GitHub CLI**
```bash
gh skill install marcelorodrigo/agent-skills filament-pro
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.github/skills/filament-pro/SKILL.md`

### Gemini CLI

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add marcelorodrigo/agent-skills --skill filament-pro -a gemini-cli
```

2. **Platform CLI**
```bash
gemini skills install https://github.com/marcelorodrigo/agent-skills --path skills/filament-pro
```

### Windsurf (Devin Desktop)

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.devin/skills/filament-pro/SKILL.md` — The legacy .windsurf/skills/ path still works

### OpenCode

**Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add marcelorodrigo/agent-skills --skill filament-pro -a opencode
```

### Claude.ai

**Claude.ai**
- Zip the folder and upload it in Settings → Capabilities → Skills

Where a file is given instead of a command, copy the files from the source to that path: https://github.com/marcelorodrigo/agent-skills/tree/HEAD/skills/filament-pro/SKILL.md

## When to use it
- scaffold a CRUD resource for an Eloquent model
- build a form with validation and conditional fields
- add filters, sorting and bulk actions to a table
- put a stats or chart widget on the dashboard
- write Pest tests for pages and access policies

## Example prompts
- Create a Filament resource for the Post model with a form and table
- Add a status filter and a bulk delete action to the orders table
- Write Pest tests for the user edit page

# Filament v5

Build powerful Laravel admin panels using Filament v5's server-driven UI with Schemas and Livewire v4 reactivity.

## Overview

Filament v5 is a Laravel admin panel framework that provides complete CRUD interfaces, forms, tables, and dashboard components through a declarative PHP API. Built on Livewire v4, it offers real-time reactivity without writing JavaScript.

### Key Concepts

- **PanelProvider**: Central configuration class defining your admin panel
- **Resources**: Automatic CRUD interfaces for Eloquent models
- **Schemas**: Declarative UI components (forms, tables, infolists)
- **Actions**: Interactive buttons with modals and backend logic
- **Widgets**: Dashboard components for data visualization

### System Requirements

- Laravel 11.28+
- PHP 8.2+
- Livewire v4
- Node.js 18+
- Tailwind CSS v4.1+

## Installation

Install Filament via Composer and scaffold a panel:

```bash
composer require filament/filament:"^5.0" -W
php artisan filament:install --scaffold
npm install && npm run dev
php artisan make:filament-user
```

This creates the panel provider, directory structure, and assets needed to start building.

### Directory Structure

```
app/
  Filament/
    Resources/          # CRUD resources with forms and tables
    Pages/              # Custom pages
    Widgets/            # Dashboard widgets
  Providers/
    Filament/
      AdminPanelProvider.php
```

## Core Concepts

### Panel Configuration

The PanelProvider is the entry point for your admin panel. It configures:

- **Identity**: ID, path, branding (name, logo, colors)
- **Discovery**: Auto-discovery of resources, pages, and widgets
- **Middleware**: Session, authentication, and custom middleware
- **Tenancy**: Multi-tenant configuration for SaaS applications

### Resources

Resources provide complete CRUD interfaces through:

- **Forms**: Schema-based forms with 20+ field types (TextInput, Select, DatePicker, FileUpload, RichEditor, etc.)
- **Tables**: Data tables with columns, filters, sorting, and actions
- **Pages**: Automatic generation of List, Create, Edit, and View pages
- **Relations**: Relation managers for handling model relationships

### Forms

Forms use a schema-based approach where you declare fields as PHP objects:

- **Input Fields**: Text, select, checkbox, toggle, date/time pickers
- **Media**: File and image uploads with validation
- **Complex Fields**: Rich text editors, repeaters, builders
