## What it does

fetcher.sh is one HTTP gateway to 111 web-data endpoints across 11 services: Twitter/X, TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Reddit, Google Search, Google Maps, Google News, Google Play, the App Store and Yelp. Every endpoint is a plain GET, paid in USDC on Base, Polygon, Arbitrum, Monad or Solana — per call through x402, or prepaid with credits and a Bearer API key. No signup form, no OAuth flow.

This skill covers the part that is identical across every service: how to pay, how credits work, and how to talk to fetcher.sh over MCP instead of raw HTTP. Each service ships its own skill with its own endpoint table and worked examples. Services sit on their own subdomains (`twitter.fetcher.sh`, `tiktok.fetcher.sh`), while `fetcher.sh` itself is the directory, the credits balance and the docs. A key minted on one subdomain works on all of them.

Responses arrive in a `{ status, message, data }` envelope, and the HTTP code mirrors the `status` field. Credits mode needs a wallet holding USDC: the top-up itself is x402-paid and starts at $1, and the `bby_live_...` key comes back exactly once on the first top-up, so save it right away. A lost key cannot be recovered — only a hash is stored server-side, so you rotate instead. When the balance can't cover a call, the API answers `402` with `topup_required` and a top-up link. One more thing worth knowing: EVM and Solana balances are separate, so a wallet on one chain won't see credits from the other.

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add fetcher-sh/fetcher-skills --skill fetcher -a claude-code
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `~/.claude/skills/fetcher/SKILL.md` — Copy the whole skill folder; for one project use .claude/skills/fetcher/

### Codex

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add fetcher-sh/fetcher-skills --skill fetcher -a codex
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.agents/skills/fetcher/SKILL.md` — For all projects use ~/.agents/skills/

### Cursor

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add fetcher-sh/fetcher-skills --skill fetcher -a cursor
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.cursor/skills/fetcher/SKILL.md` — Cursor also reads .agents/skills/ and .claude/skills/

### GitHub Copilot

1. **GitHub CLI**
```bash
gh skill install fetcher-sh/fetcher-skills fetcher
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.github/skills/fetcher/SKILL.md`

### Gemini CLI

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add fetcher-sh/fetcher-skills --skill fetcher -a gemini-cli
```

2. **Platform CLI**
```bash
gemini skills install https://github.com/fetcher-sh/fetcher-skills --path skills/fetcher
```

### Windsurf (Devin Desktop)

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.devin/skills/fetcher/SKILL.md` — The legacy .windsurf/skills/ path still works

### OpenCode

**Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add fetcher-sh/fetcher-skills --skill fetcher -a opencode
```

### Claude.ai

**Claude.ai**
- Zip the folder and upload it in Settings → Capabilities → Skills

Where a file is given instead of a command, copy the files from the source to that path: https://github.com/fetcher-sh/fetcher-skills/tree/HEAD/skills/fetcher/SKILL.md

## When to use it
- mint a fetcher.sh API key and save it on the first top-up
- fund a credits balance with USDC through x402
- connect an MCP client to fetcher.sh instead of raw HTTP calls
- read the `{ status, message, data }` envelope and its error codes
- rotate a key that leaked or went missing

## Example prompts
- top up fetcher.sh with 5 USDC and give me the key
- check my fetcher.sh credit balance with this key
- connect the fetcher.sh MCP server to my client

# fetcher.sh — payments, credits, and MCP setup

fetcher.sh is one HTTP gateway for 111 web-data endpoints across 11 services —
Twitter/X, TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Reddit, Google Search, Google Maps,
Google News, Google Play, the App Store, and Yelp. Every endpoint is a plain
GET, paid in USDC on Base, Polygon, Arbitrum, Monad, or Solana — per call via
[x402](https://x402.org), or prepaid via credits with a Bearer API key. There
is no signup form, no OAuth flow, and no API key waitlist.

Each service has its own skill (`twitter-api`, `x-api`,
`tiktok-api`, `instagram-api`, `youtube-api`, `reddit-api`,
`google-search`, `google-maps`, `google-news`, `google-play`, `app-store`,
`yelp`) with its own endpoint table and worked examples. This skill covers the
part that's identical across all of them: how to pay, how credits work, and
how to talk to fetcher.sh over MCP instead of raw HTTP.

Every service lives on its own subdomain (`twitter.fetcher.sh`,
`tiktok.fetcher.sh`, ...); `fetcher.sh` itself is the directory, the credits
balance, and the docs. Credits and the MCP server are identical on every host
— a key minted on one subdomain works on all of them.

## Response envelope

Every endpoint, on every service, returns JSON of this shape:

```json
{ "status": 200, "message": "ok", "data": "..." }
```
