## What it does

The skill activates when a `uiBundles/*/src/` project reads, writes or displays Salesforce data, even if the prompt only names the object or the UI itself. It walks the agent through `@salesforce/platform-sdk`: `sdk.graphql!.query` for reads, `sdk.graphql!.mutate` for writes. The SDK handles auth, CSRF and base-URL resolution, and on the WebApp surface it caches every GraphQL query.

What's inside is a workflow spine with linked references. The `graphiti` CLI (`sf-gql-*` commands) compiles a small JSON spec into a schema-correct query with variables and types. Separate docs cover the SDK call surface, caching, hand-authoring GraphQL and `sdk.fetch`. One more covers moving existing code off the old `@salesforce/sdk-data` namespace. New read and write work uses the current API; migration applies to code you already have.

Check your setup before the first run: `node` 18.0.0 or newer, `npm` and `npx` 9.0.0 or newer, `sf` 2.0.0 or newer, and a minimum API version of 66.0. Note that `sdk.graphql!` with the non-null assertion is correct only for WebApp — on other surfaces it can crash, so decide before you write it. And HTTP 200 never means success: check `result.errors`, or a bad field fails the whole query at runtime.

# Salesforce Data Access (UI bundles)

All Salesforce data access in a UI bundle goes through the **`@salesforce/platform-sdk`**
