## What it does

The skill provisions a new Digital Experience site (formerly Communities) in Salesforce. Every call goes through the headless-360 MCP server: `discover`, then `describe`, then `dispatch` for writes or `dispatch_readonly` for reads. The Salesforce CLI, `curl` and other HTTP clients are off limits — that dispatcher is the only channel to the org.

Before it starts, the skill asks about portal type, name and URL prefix. For employee and self-service portals the default `siteType` is `AURA`; pick `LWR` only when you explicitly want a Lightning Web Runtime site. One gotcha: paths passed to `dispatch` must carry the full `/services/data/vXX.0/...` prefix, otherwise you get `400 ROUTE_NOT_FOUND` — headless-360 does not inject the API version for you.

The self-service API requires `guestEmbeddedServiceConfigId`, an Embedded Service Deployment config for guest users. If you have not created a deployment yet, do that in Setup → Embedded Service Deployments first. The skill also activates the Network (`status: Live`), adds member profiles and publishes Experience Builder pages, then writes a portal-creation report as its last step. Deep page and branding customization sits outside its scope.

## Requirements
- Works with: Salesforce

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add forcedotcom/sf-skills --skill experience-portal-create -a claude-code
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `~/.claude/skills/experience-portal-create/SKILL.md` — Copy the whole skill folder; for one project use .claude/skills/experience-portal-create/

### Codex

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add forcedotcom/sf-skills --skill experience-portal-create -a codex
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.agents/skills/experience-portal-create/SKILL.md` — For all projects use ~/.agents/skills/

### Cursor

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add forcedotcom/sf-skills --skill experience-portal-create -a cursor
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.cursor/skills/experience-portal-create/SKILL.md` — Cursor also reads .agents/skills/ and .claude/skills/

### GitHub Copilot

1. **GitHub CLI**
```bash
gh skill install forcedotcom/sf-skills experience-portal-create
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.github/skills/experience-portal-create/SKILL.md`

### Gemini CLI

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add forcedotcom/sf-skills --skill experience-portal-create -a gemini-cli
```

2. **Platform CLI**
```bash
gemini skills install https://github.com/forcedotcom/sf-skills --path skills/experience-portal-create
```

### Windsurf (Devin Desktop)

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.devin/skills/experience-portal-create/SKILL.md` — The legacy .windsurf/skills/ path still works

### OpenCode

**Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add forcedotcom/sf-skills --skill experience-portal-create -a opencode
```

### Claude.ai

**Claude.ai**
- Zip the folder and upload it in Settings → Capabilities → Skills

Where a file is given instead of a command, copy the files from the source to that path: https://github.com/forcedotcom/sf-skills/tree/HEAD/skills/experience-portal-create/SKILL.md

## When to use it
- stand up an employee self-service portal from scratch
- provision a PRM partner portal with a specific template
- create a customer community on Aura or LWR
- wire MIAW into the portal at creation time
- take the site end to end: activate the Network and publish pages

## Example prompts
- Create an employee service portal with experience-portal-create
- Set up a new LWR partner site and wire MIAW at creation
- Provision a customer community named Support Hub with prefix supporthub

This is the site-CREATION skill and OWNS provisioning a new Aura OR LWR Experience Builder site from scratch — trigger it even when the user says 'Experience Builder site' or 'LWR site', as long as a NEW site is wanted. It always writes a portal-creation report as its final step (never ad hoc via CLI) and never makes a legacy Tabs+Visualforce site. DO NOT TRIGGER only for modifying an EXISTING site's pages/routes/theme/branding/guest-access metadata (experience-lwr-site-generate), existing-site customization (experience-ui-bundle), CMS, Commerce."

# Create Digital Experience Portal

Create a new Digital Experience (formerly Communities) portal/site in Salesforce. Supports employee service portals, partner portals (PRM), and general customer communities.

**Every operation runs through the headless-360 MCP server** (`mcp__headless-360__discover` →
`mcp__headless-360__describe` → `mcp__headless-360__dispatch` / `mcp__headless-360__dispatch_readonly`).
Do **not** use the Salesforce CLI (its `api request`, `data query`, or `org open` subcommands), the project-codey MCP
server, raw `curl`, or any other HTTP client — `dispatch`/`dispatch_readonly` is the only way this
skill talks to the org. See `references/mcp-invocation.md` for the exact call shapes.
