## What it does

The skill inspects component bundles containing `.html`, `.js`, `.ts`, and `.css` files. It runs `scan-rtl-css.sh` over stylesheets to match physical CSS declarations and convert them into logical properties, turning `margin-left` into `margin-inline-start` or `text-align: right` into `text-align: end`. Shorthand `border-radius` rules with explicit corners are not handled by the script and require manual review.

Across templates and JavaScript, the review flags directional icons in plain `<img>` tags and inline SVG, checks `dir` attribute bindings, and verifies arrow key semantics in directional navigation. The scanner intentionally ignores `<lightning-icon>` elements because the underlying icon service mirrors them automatically. Renaming SLDS classes like `slds-m-left_*` to non-existent `_start` suffixes will break stylesheets, so the skill deliberately leaves them intact.

Running the inspection requires Python 3.8 or newer and read access to the component directory under `modules/…`. It does not cover accessibility audits or scaffolding new components from scratch.

## Requirements
- Works with: Salesforce

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add forcedotcom/sf-skills --skill experience-lwc-rtl-validate -a claude-code
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `~/.claude/skills/experience-lwc-rtl-validate/SKILL.md` — Copy the whole skill folder; for one project use .claude/skills/experience-lwc-rtl-validate/

### Codex

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add forcedotcom/sf-skills --skill experience-lwc-rtl-validate -a codex
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.agents/skills/experience-lwc-rtl-validate/SKILL.md` — For all projects use ~/.agents/skills/

### Cursor

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add forcedotcom/sf-skills --skill experience-lwc-rtl-validate -a cursor
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.cursor/skills/experience-lwc-rtl-validate/SKILL.md` — Cursor also reads .agents/skills/ and .claude/skills/

### GitHub Copilot

1. **GitHub CLI**
```bash
gh skill install forcedotcom/sf-skills experience-lwc-rtl-validate
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.github/skills/experience-lwc-rtl-validate/SKILL.md`

### Gemini CLI

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add forcedotcom/sf-skills --skill experience-lwc-rtl-validate -a gemini-cli
```

2. **Platform CLI**
```bash
gemini skills install https://github.com/forcedotcom/sf-skills --path skills/experience-lwc-rtl-validate
```

### Windsurf (Devin Desktop)

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.devin/skills/experience-lwc-rtl-validate/SKILL.md` — The legacy .windsurf/skills/ path still works

### OpenCode

**Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add forcedotcom/sf-skills --skill experience-lwc-rtl-validate -a opencode
```

## When to use it
- Replace physical CSS properties in LWC bundles with logical equivalents
- Detect unmirrored directional icons in plain HTML and inline SVG
- Verify arrow key navigation handling for mirrored layouts
- Prepare component bundles for Arabic, Hebrew, Farsi, and Urdu locales

## Example prompts
- review this LWC for RTL
- replace left/right CSS with logical properties in this component
- audit i18n compliance and check bidi text handling

# Reviewing LWC RTL

Run a structured right-to-left (RTL) internationalization compliance pass over a Lightning Web Component, producing a report of issues found and code-level fixes to bring the component into compliance with Salesforce RTL guidelines.

## When to Use

- The user asks for an "RTL review", "i18n check", "RTL compliance pass", or "RTL audit" on a specific LWC.
- Preparing a component for release in RTL locales (Arabic, Hebrew, Farsi, Urdu).
- Investigating layout defects reported in RTL environments.
- Verifying SLDS class usage after a CSS refactor.

Do NOT use this skill for:
- Building new components (use `experience-lwc-generate`).
- Modifying SLDS classes themselves (use `design-systems-slds-apply` or `design-systems-slds2-migrate`).
- Accessibility or security review — run those as separate passes with the relevant tooling.
- Gating a fix behind a feature flag (apply feature-flag gating after fixes land).

## Prerequisites

- Component path (LWC bundle under `modules/…`).
- Access to the component's HTML templates, JS/TS, and CSS.
