# exa-search

## What it does

exa-search uses the Exa API for semantic search, similar-content discovery, and research across categories such as companies, people, or academic papers. Ask for a search directly in a Claude Code conversation.

Set up an Exa API key before using the skill; its guidance recommends storing the key in environment variables. Install it in Claude Code with `npx claude-code-templates@latest --skill web-development/exa-search`. Exa searches will not work without the API key.
