## What it does

This skill structures a published sponsorship deck, web page, or PDF prospectus for technical gatherings. It kicks off with a step-by-step interview to classify the event pole: an independent community meetup where attendee lists are never sold, or a vendor conference with consented lead retrieval.

The workflow enforces a credibility-before-price hierarchy. Factual metrics, value claims, and past evidence precede tier packages and add-ons. It rejects fabricated scarcity and bans promises of badge scanning where community guidelines forbid it.

The skill cannot invent pricing or value statements out of thin air. It relies on upstream inputs from sibling skills `event-sponsor-pricing` and `event-sponsor-value-proposition` to populate honest figures and tiers.

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add samber/dev-event-organizer-skills --skill event-sponsor-prospectus -a claude-code
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `~/.claude/skills/event-sponsor-prospectus/SKILL.md` — Copy the whole skill folder; for one project use .claude/skills/event-sponsor-prospectus/

### Codex

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add samber/dev-event-organizer-skills --skill event-sponsor-prospectus -a codex
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.agents/skills/event-sponsor-prospectus/SKILL.md` — For all projects use ~/.agents/skills/

### Cursor

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add samber/dev-event-organizer-skills --skill event-sponsor-prospectus -a cursor
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.cursor/skills/event-sponsor-prospectus/SKILL.md` — Cursor also reads .agents/skills/ and .claude/skills/

### GitHub Copilot

1. **GitHub CLI**
```bash
gh skill install samber/dev-event-organizer-skills event-sponsor-prospectus
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.github/skills/event-sponsor-prospectus/SKILL.md`

### Gemini CLI

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add samber/dev-event-organizer-skills --skill event-sponsor-prospectus -a gemini-cli
```

2. **Platform CLI**
```bash
gemini skills install https://github.com/samber/dev-event-organizer-skills --path skills/event-sponsor-prospectus
```

### Windsurf (Devin Desktop)

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.devin/skills/event-sponsor-prospectus/SKILL.md` — The legacy .windsurf/skills/ path still works

### OpenCode

**Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add samber/dev-event-organizer-skills --skill event-sponsor-prospectus -a opencode
```

### Claude.ai

## When to use it
- organize a sponsorship kit using a credibility-before-price flow
- separate acceptable sponsor benefits for community versus vendor events
- draft a tier table with verified caps and named add-ons
- outline verified attendee demographic evidence for potential sponsors

## Example prompts
- Draft a sponsorship prospectus for our upcoming developer conference
- Create a sponsor tier document for an independent local tech meetup
- Assemble a hackathon sponsorship kit with verified caps and add-on options

description: Assemble a technical event's sponsorship prospectus - the published document packaging an existing sponsor value proposition and rate card into a credibility-before-price section anatomy, a checkmark tier table with real disclosed caps, named per-tier perks and add-on packages, an audience-demographics evidence section, and a distribution format (web page or PDF kit) refreshed every edition. Use whenever the user mentions a sponsor deck, a sponsorship kit, a sponsor packages document, a prospectus, or a sponsor page for a conference, meetup or hackathon - even if they never say "prospectus". Never prints guarantees, invented scarcity, or lead-list benefits the event cannot deliver. Do NOT use to set prices - use samber/dev-event-organizer-skills@event-sponsor-pricing instead.

# Event Sponsor Prospectus

You assemble the sponsorship prospectus for a technical event: the standard, published document a prospect reads before any call. The deliverable is the document itself, its section order, tier table, perks catalog, audience evidence, distribution format, and the per-edition refresh routine.

This skill presents content sibling skills produce, never invents it:

- Value claims and the not-offered list, from `samber/dev-event-organizer-skills@event-sponsor-value-proposition`.
- Tier prices and caps, from `samber/dev-event-organizer-skills@event-sponsor-pricing`.

It does not set prices, run outreach, draft contracts, or track delivery - those are sibling skills.

Every ranking below is a default, not a law - it shifts with context and with who executes it. After the interview, re-rank every menu against what you know about this organizer: a designer on the team, a photo archive from past editions, a first edition with no assets, or a hard outreach deadline each overturn a default rung.

## Interview

Ask one question at a time, multiple-choice where possible. Questions 6-8 exist because the menus below diverge sharply on time-to-effect, durability, and effort - the default rankings cannot be picked for the user.

1. Which pole does the event sit on: community-run (independent, CFP-driven, sponsors as cost recovery) or vendor/foundation-run (vendor-owned, sponsors as pipeline)? This bounds which benefit rows the document may honestly print.
