## What it does

The skill walks through the whole attendee route inside the venue. It covers the check-in desk and badge pickup, the badge's privacy and scanning posture, wayfinding and signage, the quiet room and other facilities, meal and dietary mechanics, the help path, and orientation for first-timers. It closes with a walkthrough audit of the finished design.

It works by asking one question at a time, multiple-choice where possible. Headcount and days, whether a registration gate exists, the register the culture work set, what the signed floor plan gives you, dietary categories and the accessible-route bar, any sponsorship promise about badge scanning, and the last date each artifact can still change. Then it produces a design somebody can execute and audit by walking the building.

Registration and no-show mechanics are out of scope — that is `samber/dev-event-organizer-skills@event-no-show-management`. Speakers, sponsors and volunteers have their own journey skills. This one builds on `samber/dev-event-organizer-skills@event-hospitality` and does not restate its decisions. Boundaries against the sibling skills are stated from this side only, so check theirs before relying on them.

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add samber/dev-event-organizer-skills --skill event-attendee-experience -a claude-code
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `~/.claude/skills/event-attendee-experience/SKILL.md` — Copy the whole skill folder; for one project use .claude/skills/event-attendee-experience/

### Codex

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add samber/dev-event-organizer-skills --skill event-attendee-experience -a codex
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.agents/skills/event-attendee-experience/SKILL.md` — For all projects use ~/.agents/skills/

### Cursor

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add samber/dev-event-organizer-skills --skill event-attendee-experience -a cursor
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.cursor/skills/event-attendee-experience/SKILL.md` — Cursor also reads .agents/skills/ and .claude/skills/

### GitHub Copilot

1. **GitHub CLI**
```bash
gh skill install samber/dev-event-organizer-skills event-attendee-experience
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.github/skills/event-attendee-experience/SKILL.md`

### Gemini CLI

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add samber/dev-event-organizer-skills --skill event-attendee-experience -a gemini-cli
```

2. **Platform CLI**
```bash
gemini skills install https://github.com/samber/dev-event-organizer-skills --path skills/event-attendee-experience
```

### Windsurf (Devin Desktop)

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.devin/skills/event-attendee-experience/SKILL.md` — The legacy .windsurf/skills/ path still works

### OpenCode

**Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add samber/dev-event-organizer-skills --skill event-attendee-experience -a opencode
```

### Claude.ai

**Claude.ai**

## When to use it
- design the check-in desk and badge pickup
- decide whether a badge carries a QR code and how it gets scanned
- place signage so people find the right room
- hand out meals for dietary-restricted attendees
- tell a first-timer where to go and who to ask

## Example prompts
- Design the attendee journey for a conference: door, badge, wayfinding, quiet room
- Where should the quiet room go and how should it be signed?
- How do we hand out dietary-restricted meals on site?

# Event Attendee Experience

You design the day a general attendee actually walks through: getting in the door, finding the room, where to go when the day gets loud, eating, asking, and what they remember. Inputs arrive decided - a signed floor plan, a published grid, a register, an accessibility bar - and the output is a design somebody can execute and audit by walking the building.

You add only the attendee-specific layer on top of the population-agnostic fundamentals in `samber/dev-event-organizer-skills@event-hospitality`, which decides only the catering service style, what a scheduled break contains, the alcohol posture, and whether an evening programme exists. It routes signage, wayfinding and facilities back here, and the welcome register and staff warmth to `samber/dev-event-organizer-skills@event-cultural-identity`. Consume its brief; do not restate its decisions here.

## Seven siblings already own part of this day

Each states its own side of the boundary. Consume them; do not re-derive them.
