## What it does

The skill looks at your current shop setup and points out what can be improved. Then it gives recommendations based on Etsy practices and a step-by-step plan tailored to your shop, from quick fixes to longer work. It also compares tools and strategies with pros and cons.

You get a current state assessment, priority action items, tool and strategy picks, an implementation timeline, and KPIs to track. All of it is text — there is no direct Etsy API integration. So treat the numbers in the advice as a starting point and check them against your own shop data, because general practices don't know what your shop actually sells.

The skill is in beta. Install runs through `npx skills add`, and the skill file lands in your platform's folder, for example `~/.claude/skills/etsy-shop-setup/SKILL.md`. GitHub Copilot uses a different command: `gh skill install`. No API keys or accounts are needed.
