## What it does

The skill runs competitor research for your Etsy niche. It looks at pricing, studies bestsellers and suggests how your shop can stand apart from others in the category. Useful when you are unsure what to charge and what to build your positioning on.

Inside are frameworks and recommendations drawn from Etsy practice. The skill assesses your current shop setup, returns priority actions from quick wins to long-term work, compares tools and strategies with pros and cons, then lays out an implementation plan and KPIs to track. All of it is text guidance, with no direct Etsy API calls.

Recommendations come from general best practices rather than your own shop data, so treat them as a starting point and check against your numbers. The skill is in beta. Installation runs through `npx skills add`, and on Claude the skill file lands at `~/.claude/skills/etsy-competitor-analysis/SKILL.md`.
