## What it does

The skill runs a PowerShell script, `epf-build.ps1`, which drives the 1C platform and writes the finished processor file. Only one argument is required: the processor name, which is also the name of the root XML. Sources live in `src` by default, output goes to `build`.

Before building, the platform checks module syntax and form handlers. On an error no file is produced, and the output points to the source file with a line and column. What gets checked is set by `-Checks`: `modules`, `handlers`, `unreferenced`, `empty-handlers`, `config`, or `off` to skip checks. Module check contexts are `ThinClient`, `Server`, `ExternalConnection`, `ThickClientOrdinaryApplication`.

Connection details are optional. Leave them out and the script creates a temporary infobase, generates metadata stubs for reference types such as `CatalogRef` and `DocumentRef`, then deletes the base after the build. Code that calls configuration common modules needs an XML dump of that configuration for the check — by default `configSrc` of the base from `.v8-project.json`. Without the dump such code fails the check, so you build with `-Checks off` instead. Worth knowing before you wire this into a pipeline.

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

1. **Plugin marketplace**
In the agent chat (not a shell):
```text
/plugin marketplace add Nikolay-Shirokov/cc-1c-skills
```
In the agent chat (not a shell):
```text
/plugin install 1c-skills@cc-1c-skills
```
This installs the whole 1c-skills plugin with all its skills

2. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add Nikolay-Shirokov/cc-1c-skills --skill epf-build -a claude-code
```

3. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `~/.claude/skills/epf-build/SKILL.md` — Copy the whole skill folder; for one project use .claude/skills/epf-build/

### Codex

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add Nikolay-Shirokov/cc-1c-skills --skill epf-build -a codex
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.agents/skills/epf-build/SKILL.md` — For all projects use ~/.agents/skills/

### Cursor

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.cursor/skills/epf-build/SKILL.md` — Cursor also reads .agents/skills/ and .claude/skills/

### GitHub Copilot

1. **GitHub CLI**
```bash
gh skill install Nikolay-Shirokov/cc-1c-skills epf-build
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.github/skills/epf-build/SKILL.md`

### Gemini CLI

**Platform CLI**
```bash
gemini skills install https://github.com/Nikolay-Shirokov/cc-1c-skills --path .claude/skills/epf-build
```

### Windsurf (Devin Desktop)

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.devin/skills/epf-build/SKILL.md` — The legacy .windsurf/skills/ path still works

### Claude.ai

**Claude.ai**
- Zip the folder and upload it in Settings → Capabilities → Skills

Where a file is given instead of a command, copy the files from the source to that path: https://github.com/Nikolay-Shirokov/cc-1c-skills/tree/HEAD/.claude/skills/epf-build/SKILL.md

## When to use it
- build an EPF or ERF from XML sources in one command
- catch a module syntax error before the file is written
- build a processor without a prepared 1C infobase
- verify form handlers before shipping a processor
- build against a server infobase with credentials

## Example prompts
- /epf-build MyProcessor
- /epf-build MyProcessor src build
- Build the MyProcessor processor from src into build
