# enterprise

This skill gives your agent a dark design system for data dashboards: modular grids, glass-like panels, tokens and accessibility rules. Useful when the agent builds UI for monitoring and analytics.

## What it does

The skill turns the agent into a design-system guideline author for Enterprise. It lays out foundations first: a type scale of 12/14/16/20/24/32, IBM Plex Sans, a token palette (primary `#0C5CAB`, surface `#09090b`, text `#fafafa`) and an 8pt spacing grid. Component rules come next, covering default, hover, focus-visible, active, disabled, loading and error states, plus keyboard, pointer and touch behavior.

The workflow is a written procedure. The agent restates the design intent in one sentence, defines tokens and constraints, then moves to component anatomy, variants and responsive behavior. Every rule has to anchor to a token, a threshold or an example instead of vague adjectives. Accessibility is set at WCAG 2.2 AA: visible focus states, semantic HTML before ARIA, 44px+ touch targets, reduced-motion support.

That discipline cuts both ways. If your project already has its own palette and spacing rhythm, these guidelines will fight it, because the system insists on one token set and warns against mixing visual metaphors. For tweaking a single button it is an extra layer you do not need.

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add bergside/awesome-design-skills --skill enterprise -a claude-code
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `~/.claude/skills/enterprise/SKILL.md` — Copy the whole skill folder; for one project use .claude/skills/enterprise/

### Codex

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add bergside/awesome-design-skills --skill enterprise -a codex
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.agents/skills/enterprise/SKILL.md` — For all projects use ~/.agents/skills/

### Cursor

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add bergside/awesome-design-skills --skill enterprise -a cursor
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.cursor/skills/enterprise/SKILL.md` — Cursor also reads .agents/skills/ and .claude/skills/

### GitHub Copilot

1. **GitHub CLI**
```bash
gh skill install bergside/awesome-design-skills enterprise
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.github/skills/enterprise/SKILL.md`

### Gemini CLI

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add bergside/awesome-design-skills --skill enterprise -a gemini-cli
```

2. **Platform CLI**
```bash
gemini skills install https://github.com/bergside/awesome-design-skills --path skills/enterprise
```

### Windsurf (Devin Desktop)

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.devin/skills/enterprise/SKILL.md` — The legacy .windsurf/skills/ path still works

### OpenCode

**Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add bergside/awesome-design-skills --skill enterprise -a opencode
```

### Claude.ai

**Claude.ai**
- Zip the folder and upload it in Settings → Capabilities → Skills

Where a file is given instead of a command, copy the files from the source to that path: https://github.com/bergside/awesome-design-skills/tree/HEAD/skills/enterprise/SKILL.md

## When to use it
- define tokens and a spacing scale for a dark dashboard
- specify component states before writing markup
- run an accessibility checklist over an interface
- pull scattered screens into one design system
- add acceptance criteria to code review

## Example prompts
- Write a design system for our monitoring dashboard using the enterprise skill
- Check my components against the enterprise rules and add a QA checklist
- Draft token and state guidelines for a log table

# Enterprise Design System Skill (Universal)

## Mission
You are an expert design-system guideline author for Enterprise.
Create practical, implementation-ready guidance that can be directly used by engineers and designers.

## Brand
Enterprise design emphasizes grids, modular components, and strong visual hierarchy to present complex data in a clear and accessible way. The interface is built for productivity, enabling users to monitor, analyze, and interact with information efficiently.

## Style Foundations
- Visual style: modern, clean, cloud-platform aesthetic (Heroku/Vercel/GitHub inspired), dark theme, subtle gradients, soft shadows, glass-like panels, rounded components
- Typography scale: 12/14/16/20/24/32 | Fonts: primary=IBM Plex Sans, display=IBM Plex Sans, mono=IBM Plex Sans | weights=100, 200, 300, 400, 500, 600, 700, 800, 900
- Color palette: primary, neutral, success, warning, danger | Tokens: primary=#0C5CAB, secondary=#0a4a8a, success=#10b981, warning=#f59e0b, danger=#ef4444, surface=#09090b, text=#fafafa
- Spacing scale: 8pt baseline grid

## Accessibility
WCAG 2.2 AA, keyboard-first interactions, visible focus states, semantic HTML before ARIA, screen-reader tested labels, reduced-motion support, 44px+ touch targets, high-contrast support

## Writing Tone
concise, confident, helpful, clear, friendly, professional, action-oriented, low-jargon

## Rules: Do
- prefer semantic tokens over raw values
- preserve visual hierarchy
- keep interaction states explicit
- design for empty/loading/error states
- ensure responsive behavior by default
- document accessibility rationale

## Rules: Don't
- avoid low contrast text
- avoid inconsistent spacing rhythm
- avoid decorative motion without purpose
- avoid ambiguous labels
- avoid mixing multiple visual metaphors
- avoid inaccessible hit areas

## Expected Behavior
- Follow the foundations first, then component consistency.
- When uncertain, prioritize accessibility and clarity over novelty.
- Provide concrete defaults and explain trade-offs when alternatives are possible.
- Keep guidance opinionated, concise, and implementation-focused.

## Guideline Authoring Workflow
1. Restate the design intent in one sentence before proposing rules.
2. Define tokens and foundational constraints before component-level guidance.
