## What it does

This skill puts architecture reference material in front of your agent. It opens with distributed-systems basics: ways to scale, consistency models, the CAP theorem and the classic fallacies of distributed computing.

Domain-driven design follows. The strategic part covers bounded contexts, ubiquitous language and context-mapping relationships, from Shared Kernel to Published Language, with a note on when each one fits. The tactical part shows entities and value objects through an order and customer model for a shop.

The scenario list also names event sourcing, CQRS, sagas, API gateways, service mesh, BFF, multi-tenant SaaS and monolith migration. Code samples are TypeScript, so on another stack you port them yourself.

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add manutej/luxor-claude-marketplace --skill enterprise-architecture-patterns -a claude-code
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `~/.claude/skills/enterprise-architecture-patterns/SKILL.md` — Copy the whole skill folder; for one project use .claude/skills/enterprise-architecture-patterns/

### Codex

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add manutej/luxor-claude-marketplace --skill enterprise-architecture-patterns -a codex
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.agents/skills/enterprise-architecture-patterns/SKILL.md` — For all projects use ~/.agents/skills/

### Cursor

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add manutej/luxor-claude-marketplace --skill enterprise-architecture-patterns -a cursor
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.cursor/skills/enterprise-architecture-patterns/SKILL.md` — Cursor also reads .agents/skills/ and .claude/skills/

### GitHub Copilot

1. **GitHub CLI**
```bash
gh skill install manutej/luxor-claude-marketplace enterprise-architecture-patterns
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.github/skills/enterprise-architecture-patterns/SKILL.md`

### Gemini CLI

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add manutej/luxor-claude-marketplace --skill enterprise-architecture-patterns -a gemini-cli
```

2. **Platform CLI**
```bash
gemini skills install https://github.com/manutej/luxor-claude-marketplace --path plugins/luxor-devops-suite/skills/enterprise-architecture-patterns
```

### Windsurf (Devin Desktop)

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.devin/skills/enterprise-architecture-patterns/SKILL.md` — The legacy .windsurf/skills/ path still works

### OpenCode

**Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add manutej/luxor-claude-marketplace --skill enterprise-architecture-patterns -a opencode
```

### Claude.ai

## When to use it
- split a domain into bounded contexts and define how they connect
- pick between strong and eventual consistency for a distributed system
- model an order as an entity with behavior instead of a bag of fields
- plan a monolith-to-microservices migration
- design a saga for a transaction that spans several services

## Example prompts
- Use enterprise-architecture-patterns to split our online shop into bounded contexts
- Which context-mapping pattern fits between billing and an old CRM? Use the enterprise-architecture-patterns skill
- Design a saga for checkout across several services with enterprise-architecture-patterns
