## What it does

The skill covers three pipeline-level operations. Enable a test provider that is not configured yet, so its suites become available. Re-sync an already configured provider to pull in new suites. Or create a quality gate with rules on a stage, coverage threshold included.

Every run starts with the checks in `references/prerequisite-checks.md`: org login, the Agentforce DX plugin, DevOps Center org auth, and an identified pipeline. Quality gate mode adds a stage check. If a check fails, the skill stops — it will not write to an unverified environment. Mode selection then follows provider state: `Available` means configure, `Configured` with stale suites means sync. Each mode mutates org state, so a confirmation gate comes before any write, and quality gate mode shows an impact preview first.

All DevOps Center data — pipelines, stages, providers, suites, gates — lives in the Salesforce org, not the local repo, so grepping the filesystem for pipeline config gets you nowhere; the skill queries the org with `sf data query` and `sf api request rest`. You need the `sf` CLI at `>=2.67.0` and API v67.0 or newer. One trap worth knowing: POSTing to the configure endpoint for a provider that is already configured creates duplicate `DevopsPipelineTestProvider` records, so check provider status first. And if suites are missing when you assign them to a stage, that is an assignment gap, not a configuration one — hand it to `dx-devops-test-suite-assignments-configure`.

# Configure DevOps Center Pipeline Testing Infrastructure
