## What it does

This skill writes DQL queries against `dt.system.events` filtered by `event.kind == "BILLING_USAGE_EVENT"`. It segments records by `event.type` to measure actual Dynatrace Platform Subscription (DPS) consumption. You get cost breakdowns across platform capabilities, host monitoring, RUM, synthetic runs, and AI Units.

It works strictly on DPS environments. Applying its unit conversions or cost estimates to classic licensing models like host units or DDUs produces incorrect figures. The skill never evaluates entitlement or subscription limits. Absence of billing events merely indicates zero consumption, not an unlicensed feature.

Query tuning is outside this skill's scope. If you need to make queries faster or scan less data, rely on `dt-dql-essentials` instead.

Query and analyze Dynatrace platform billing and cost data using DQL. All data
lives in `dt.system.events` with `event.kind == "BILLING_USAGE_EVENT"`,
