# dotfile-audit

## What it does

This skill inspects DOT files used by automated coding pipelines. It examines the core graph topology, checking for single start nodes with `shape=Mdiamond` and single exit nodes with `shape=Msquare`. Graph blocks receive checks for required settings such as `goal` or `retry_target`. If the graph includes invented keys like `join_policy` or `error_policy`, the skill strips them out. Unsupported attributes break the parser.

When provided with a design document, the skill reconciles pipeline stages against written requirements. It confirms that every listed component contains implementation, testing, and Git commit steps. Once edits finish, it runs `dotfile validate <file>.dot` in a loop. Pipelines with validation errors will not execute. The process repeats until the checker reports zero warnings.
