## What it does

This skill lays out a seven-step swap flow on Solana through Jupiter v6. You fetch a quote, show it to the user, wait for an explicit yes, then build the transaction, sign it, submit it and poll for status. Jupiter handles route discovery across Raydium, Orca, Meteora, Phoenix, Lifinity and other venues, and a single swap can be split between pools or hop through an intermediate token.

The examples are Python. `httpx` talks to `https://quote-api.jup.ag/v6`, `solders` decodes and signs the `VersionedTransaction`. The wallet key is read from `WALLET_PRIVATE_KEY`; the RPC endpoint comes from `SOLANA_RPC_URL` and falls back to the public `https://api.mainnet-beta.solana.com`. Reference tables cover slippage and priority fees, and there is a Helius `getPriorityFeeEstimate` snippet plus an error table.

Steps 2 and 3 are not optional. The skill will not build a transaction until the user says yes. A transaction expires roughly 60 seconds after its blockhash is fetched, so a timeout means rebuilding it with a fresh blockhash. For meme tokens the skill suggests slippage of 500–2000 basis points, and 1000–3000 for tokens launched within the hour — thin books move fast.

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add agiprolabs/claude-trading-skills --skill dex-execution -a claude-code
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `~/.claude/skills/dex-execution/SKILL.md` — Copy the whole skill folder; for one project use .claude/skills/dex-execution/

### Codex

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add agiprolabs/claude-trading-skills --skill dex-execution -a codex
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.agents/skills/dex-execution/SKILL.md` — For all projects use ~/.agents/skills/

### Cursor

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add agiprolabs/claude-trading-skills --skill dex-execution -a cursor
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.cursor/skills/dex-execution/SKILL.md` — Cursor also reads .agents/skills/ and .claude/skills/

### GitHub Copilot

1. **GitHub CLI**
```bash
gh skill install agiprolabs/claude-trading-skills dex-execution
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.github/skills/dex-execution/SKILL.md`

### Gemini CLI

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add agiprolabs/claude-trading-skills --skill dex-execution -a gemini-cli
```

2. **Platform CLI**
```bash
gemini skills install https://github.com/agiprolabs/claude-trading-skills --path skills/dex-execution
```

### Windsurf (Devin Desktop)

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.devin/skills/dex-execution/SKILL.md` — The legacy .windsurf/skills/ path still works

### OpenCode

**Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add agiprolabs/claude-trading-skills --skill dex-execution -a opencode
```

### Claude.ai

**Claude.ai**
- Zip the folder and upload it in Settings → Capabilities → Skills

Where a file is given instead of a command, copy the files from the source to that path: https://github.com/agiprolabs/claude-trading-skills/tree/HEAD/skills/dex-execution/SKILL.md

## When to use it
- swap SOL for USDC through Jupiter
- show the quote and minimum received before signing
- sign a swap transaction with a key from an environment variable
- poll `getSignatureStatuses` until the swap confirms
- pick slippage and priority fees for the token you are trading

## Example prompts
- Quote a swap of 1 SOL to USDC on Jupiter and show me the route before signing
- Sign the swap transaction with the key in `WALLET_PRIVATE_KEY` and submit it to mainnet
- Check whether the transaction confirmed and give me the Solscan link

# DEX Execution — Solana Swap Execution via Jupiter

Execute token swaps on Solana through Jupiter, the dominant DEX aggregator routing across Raydium, Orca, Meteora, Phoenix, Lifinity, and 20+ other venues.

## Overview

Jupiter aggregates liquidity across all major Solana DEXes to find optimal swap routes. A single swap may split across multiple pools and hop through intermediate tokens to minimize price impact. The Jupiter v6 API handles route discovery, transaction building, and fee optimization — your code handles quoting, user confirmation, signing, and submission.

**Base URL**: `https://quote-api.jup.ag/v6`

## Execution Pipeline

Every swap follows this seven-step pipeline. Never skip steps 2-3 (display and confirm).

### Step 1 — Get Quote

```python
import httpx
params = {
    "inputMint": "So11111111111111111111111111111111111111112",   # SOL
    "outputMint": "EPjFWdd5AufqSSqeM2qN1xzybapC8G4wEGGkZwyTDt1v", # USDC
    "amount": 1_000_000_000,  # 1 SOL in lamports
    "slippageBps": 50,        # 0.5%
}
resp = httpx.get("https://quote-api.jup.ag/v6/quote", params=params)
quote = resp.json()
```

### Step 2 — Display Quote to User

Always show these fields before proceeding:

| Field | Source |
|---|---|
| Input amount | `quote["inAmount"]` (in token decimals) |
| Output amount | `quote["outAmount"]` |
| Minimum received | `quote["otherAmountThreshold"]` |
| Price impact | `quote["priceImpactPct"]` |
| Route | `quote["routePlan"]` — DEXes used |
| Slippage | The `slippageBps` you requested |

### Step 3 — Require User Confirmation

```
⚠️  SWAP PREVIEW
    Selling:   1.000 SOL
    Buying:    ~142.50 USDC
    Min recv:  141.79 USDC (0.5% slippage)
    Impact:    0.01%
    Route:     Raydium V4 → USDC
    Proceed? [y/N]
```

**NEVER proceed without explicit "yes" from the user.**

### Step 4 — Build Transaction

```python
swap_body = {
    "quoteResponse": quote,
    "userPublicKey": "YourPubkeyBase58...",
    "wrapAndUnwrapSol": True,
    "dynamicComputeUnitLimit": True,
    "prioritizationFeeLamports": "auto",
}
resp = httpx.post("https://quote-api.jup.ag/v6/swap", json=swap_body)
swap_data = resp.json()
swap_tx = swap_data["swapTransaction"]  # base64-encoded transaction
```

### Step 5 — Sign Transaction

```python
import base64
````
