# deploy-uni-hook

Turns a one-line brief into a live Uniswap v4 hook: generation, compilation, simulation and deploy with a test pool. Dry-run unless you arm it.

## What it does

The brief follows the grammar `[arm:][template:<name>] [chain:<name>] <brief>`. With no prefix the skill writes the hook, compiles it, mines a CREATE2 salt and runs a simulation — nothing reaches the chain. A broadcast needs the brief to start with `arm:`. An empty brief prints the grammar and exits with `DEPLOY_HOOK_EMPTY`.

The mode is picked for you. Fee and volatility wording maps to `dynamic`, revenue or skim wording to `skim`, “minimal” or “starter” to `noop`, and anything else is built from scratch as `freeform`. Templates sit in `skills/deploy-uni-hook/templates/`, next to `chains.tsv` — the table of Uniswap v4 chains with chainId, PoolManager, RPC and explorer. Run `./hook-deploy.sh chains` to see the list.

Broadcasting goes through `skills/deploy-uni-hook/hook-deploy.sh` only: the deployer key is read from the environment inside the script and never lands on a command line. Mainnet takes three locks at once — `arm:`, an explicit chain and the repo variable `HOOK_MAINNET_OK=1`; without them the script exits with code 7. Skip `ALCHEMY_API_KEY` and you fall back to a public RPC, which can fake a clean simulation. Every deployed hook inherits the mandatory 10 bps AeonFee.

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add aeonfun/aeon --skill deploy-uni-hook -a claude-code
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `~/.claude/skills/deploy-uni-hook/SKILL.md` — Copy the whole skill folder; for one project use .claude/skills/deploy-uni-hook/

### Codex

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add aeonfun/aeon --skill deploy-uni-hook -a codex
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.agents/skills/deploy-uni-hook/SKILL.md` — For all projects use ~/.agents/skills/

### Cursor

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add aeonfun/aeon --skill deploy-uni-hook -a cursor
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.cursor/skills/deploy-uni-hook/SKILL.md` — Cursor also reads .agents/skills/ and .claude/skills/

### GitHub Copilot

1. **GitHub CLI**
```bash
gh skill install aeonfun/aeon deploy-uni-hook
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.github/skills/deploy-uni-hook/SKILL.md`

### Gemini CLI

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add aeonfun/aeon --skill deploy-uni-hook -a gemini-cli
```

2. **Platform CLI**
```bash
gemini skills install https://github.com/aeonfun/aeon --path skills/deploy-uni-hook
```

### Windsurf (Devin Desktop)

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.devin/skills/deploy-uni-hook/SKILL.md` — The legacy .windsurf/skills/ path still works

### OpenCode

**Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add aeonfun/aeon --skill deploy-uni-hook -a opencode
```

## When to use it
- build a Uniswap v4 hook from a written brief
- simulate a hook before any transaction goes out
- spin up a test pool and run one swap
- log a deploy without sending a duplicate
- pick a chain from the supported list

## Example prompts
- Build a dynamic-fee hook and dry-run it on base-sepolia
- arm: deploy a noop hook on unichain-sepolia
- Make a freeform hook with a leaderboard and show me the simulation output

> **${var}** — the hook brief. Grammar: `[arm:][template:<name>] [chain:<name>] <brief>`
> - `` (empty) → print help and exit `DEPLOY_HOOK_EMPTY`.
> - `<brief>` → **dry-run**: generate, compile, mine, and simulate. Never broadcasts. *[default — no prefix]*
> - `arm:<brief>` → **broadcast**: do the full dry-run first, then deploy for real if the simulation passes.
> - `template:<name>` → force a mode: `dynamic` | `noop` | `skim` (pre-audited templates) or `freeform` (build a whole hook from the prompt). Omit to auto-pick: a brief that matches a template uses it; anything else → `freeform`.
> - `chain:<name>` → any Uniswap v4 chain in `chains.tsv` (run `./hook-deploy.sh chains` to list). Default `base-sepolia`. Testnets: `base-sepolia`, `unichain-sepolia`, `arbitrum-sepolia`. Mainnets (`testnet: false`, e.g. `base`, `ethereum`, `unichain`, `arbitrum`, `optimism`, `polygon`, `bnb`, `avalanche`, ...) require BOTH `arm:` and an explicit `chain:` — the skill never targets mainnet by default. `base-mainnet` is accepted as an alias for `base`.

Today is ${today}. This skill turns a one-line brief into a live Uniswap v4 hook. It is built to be safe: it simulates every deploy before it broadcasts, it defaults to a dry-run on testnet, and it needs an explicit `arm:` to move on-chain.
