## What it does

The skill performs a one-time pre-send check on sender domain authentication. It inspects SPF, DKIM, DMARC, and BIMI DNS records alongside DMARC RUA reports. It also checks HTML templates. Issues like spam-trigger links or delivery blockers get flagged immediately.

A complete SEND S score requires full applicable coverage. Otherwise, the tool outputs `NEEDS_INPUT/UNDECIDED/NOT_SCORED`. Paid ESP APIs remain optional. The checks rely on manual DNS queries and account report exports. Resend users can automate domain reads via `resend.py` with a `RESEND_API_KEY`. This skill covers single snapshots rather than recurring hygiene trends.

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add aaron-he-zhu/aaron-marketing-skills --skill deliverability-qa -a claude-code
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `~/.claude/skills/deliverability-qa/SKILL.md` — Copy the whole skill folder; for one project use .claude/skills/deliverability-qa/

### Codex

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add aaron-he-zhu/aaron-marketing-skills --skill deliverability-qa -a codex
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.agents/skills/deliverability-qa/SKILL.md` — For all projects use ~/.agents/skills/

### Cursor

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add aaron-he-zhu/aaron-marketing-skills --skill deliverability-qa -a cursor
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.cursor/skills/deliverability-qa/SKILL.md` — Cursor also reads .agents/skills/ and .claude/skills/

### GitHub Copilot

1. **GitHub CLI**
```bash
gh skill install aaron-he-zhu/aaron-marketing-skills deliverability-qa
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.github/skills/deliverability-qa/SKILL.md`

### Gemini CLI

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add aaron-he-zhu/aaron-marketing-skills --skill deliverability-qa -a gemini-cli
```

2. **Platform CLI**
```bash
gemini skills install https://github.com/aaron-he-zhu/aaron-marketing-skills --path email/setup/deliverability-qa
```

### Windsurf (Devin Desktop)

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.devin/skills/deliverability-qa/SKILL.md` — The legacy .windsurf/skills/ path still works

### OpenCode

**Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add aaron-he-zhu/aaron-marketing-skills --skill deliverability-qa -a opencode
```

## When to use it
- verify SPF, DKIM, DMARC, and BIMI record alignment before sending
- diagnose why emails land in spam or promotions folders
- scan email HTML templates for link and render risks
- assess sending domain and IP reputation using postmaster reports

## Example prompts
- Run a deliverability pre-flight for example.com before I send. Here is my DMARC RUA report and DNS export.
- Check my SPF, DKIM, and DMARC setup, then suggest a pre-send checklist for newsletter delivery.
- Why am I hitting the Promotions tab? Here is my inbox-placement seed test and deliverability report.
