## What it does

The `db` skill is an Oracle Database knowledge domain split into folders. Twenty categories sit inside it: `db/sql-dev/`, `db/plsql/`, `db/performance/`, `db/security/`, `db/migrations/`, `db/vecdb/`, `db/agent/` and more. The agent reads one file from the routing table instead of the whole tree, so your context stays clean.

Multi-step flows are spelled out. A slow query goes `explain-plan` → `wait-events` → `optimizer-stats` → `awr-reports`. A migration starts at `migration-assessment`, moves through `oracle-migration-tools`, then a source-specific file. RAG on Oracle Database runs `ai-profiles` → `vector-search` → `dbms-vector`. The `db/agent/` branch handles schema changes: `schema-discovery` first, then `destructive-op-guards` and `idempotency-patterns`.

Coverage includes Oracle Vector SDK through the Python SDK, REST and the PL/SQL package, plus SQLcl, Liquibase, ORDS, JDBC, node-oracledb, Java, .NET and ORMs such as SQLAlchemy and Django. Install runs through `npx skills add`, so Node.js and npx need to be on your machine or the command fails.
