## What it does

This skill runs research as a staged workflow: it maps questions and claims, assigns work to subagents, gathers evidence packets, and drafts the report. For load-bearing claims, exact figures, dates, and quotations, the lead agent opens original sources rather than treating notes or model reports as authority.

The workflow keeps a durable study with `study.json`, a prior-study catalog, original documents, and a citation registry. It calls for `provider_runs.py validate`, `research_assets.py check`, and study registration before completion. The local scripts track and inspect files; they do not make provider calls or approve paid work.

Routes that can use metered plugins need an explicit spend limit and a review of the raw tool log. That matters before dispatch: being signed in does not authorize autonomous paid calls.

**Context discipline:** Keep raw search-result noise in task workspaces. Pass evidence packets to the lead agent, including locators and short source excerpts. Notes are routing aids, not authorities: the lead agent must open the original source for every load-bearing claim, conflicting claim, and exact figure/date/quotation used in the report.
