## What it does

The skill spells out how an agent should call `https://60s.viki.moe/v2/60s` with GET. What comes back is JSON: the date, weekday, lunar date, a list of 15 news items with links, and a short quote for the day. Pass `date` as `YYYY-MM-DD` to pull a specific day's edition, or set `encoding` to `json`, `text`, `markdown`, `image` or `image-proxy` depending on what you want out.

No API key, no signup. The feed refreshes every 30 minutes. Ask for a date with no data and the service falls back across the last 3 days on its own, so an empty result for an old date is expected behaviour. Images via `encoding=image` can fail to load; the documented workaround is `image-proxy`, which streams the binary back directly.

Python snippets using `requests` ship with the skill: one builds a morning message for a bot, another returns the first few headlines as a summary, a third looks up an archived date. The response shape is stable, so parsing is straightforward. Everything in the feed is Chinese.

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add vikiboss/60s-skills --skill daily-news-60s -a claude-code
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `~/.claude/skills/daily-news-60s/SKILL.md` — Copy the whole skill folder; for one project use .claude/skills/daily-news-60s/

### Codex

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add vikiboss/60s-skills --skill daily-news-60s -a codex
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.agents/skills/daily-news-60s/SKILL.md` — For all projects use ~/.agents/skills/

### Cursor

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add vikiboss/60s-skills --skill daily-news-60s -a cursor
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.cursor/skills/daily-news-60s/SKILL.md` — Cursor also reads .agents/skills/ and .claude/skills/

### GitHub Copilot

1. **GitHub CLI**
```bash
gh skill install vikiboss/60s-skills daily-news-60s
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.github/skills/daily-news-60s/SKILL.md`

### Gemini CLI

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add vikiboss/60s-skills --skill daily-news-60s -a gemini-cli
```

2. **Platform CLI**
```bash
gemini skills install https://github.com/vikiboss/60s-skills --path skills/daily-news-60s
```

### Windsurf (Devin Desktop)

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.devin/skills/daily-news-60s/SKILL.md` — The legacy .windsurf/skills/ path still works

### OpenCode

**Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add vikiboss/60s-skills --skill daily-news-60s -a opencode
```

### Claude.ai

**Claude.ai**
- Zip the folder and upload it in Settings → Capabilities → Skills

Where a file is given instead of a command, copy the files from the source to that path: https://github.com/vikiboss/60s-skills/tree/HEAD/skills/daily-news-60s/SKILL.md

## When to use it
- build a morning news message for a bot
- grab the day's 15 headlines in one call
- fetch the edition for a chosen date
- render the news as markdown or an image
