## What it does

The skill equips the AI agent with command patterns for the `cx` CLI tool. It guides the day-one setup when onboarding a service to Coralogix, focusing on view folders, incident notification pipelines, and external automation actions.

The workflow covers four main command groups: `cx views`, `cx webhooks`, `cx notifications`, and `cx integrations`. Most creation and modification tasks rely on JSON configuration files passed via `--from-file`. Every CLI command supports structured output via `-o json` and target environment selection with `-p <profile>`.

Your environment must already have the `cx` CLI installed and authenticated with active profiles, or every executed command will fail immediately.

## Requirements
- Works with: Slack

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add coralogix/cx-cli --skill cx-observability-setup -a claude-code
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `~/.claude/skills/cx-observability-setup/SKILL.md` — Copy the whole skill folder; for one project use .claude/skills/cx-observability-setup/

### Codex

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add coralogix/cx-cli --skill cx-observability-setup -a codex
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.agents/skills/cx-observability-setup/SKILL.md` — For all projects use ~/.agents/skills/

### Cursor

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add coralogix/cx-cli --skill cx-observability-setup -a cursor
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.cursor/skills/cx-observability-setup/SKILL.md` — Cursor also reads .agents/skills/ and .claude/skills/

### GitHub Copilot

1. **GitHub CLI**
```bash
gh skill install coralogix/cx-cli cx-observability-setup
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.github/skills/cx-observability-setup/SKILL.md`

### Gemini CLI

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add coralogix/cx-cli --skill cx-observability-setup -a gemini-cli
```

2. **Platform CLI**
```bash
gemini skills install https://github.com/coralogix/cx-cli --path skills/cx-observability-setup
```

### Windsurf (Devin Desktop)

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.devin/skills/cx-observability-setup/SKILL.md` — The legacy .windsurf/skills/ path still works

### OpenCode

**Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add coralogix/cx-cli --skill cx-observability-setup -a opencode
```

### Claude.ai

**Claude.ai**
- Zip the folder and upload it in Settings → Capabilities → Skills

Where a file is given instead of a command, copy the files from the source to that path: https://github.com/coralogix/cx-cli/tree/HEAD/skills/cx-observability-setup/SKILL.md

## When to use it
- create view folders and saved log queries for a new service
- configure notification connectors and routers for Slack or PagerDuty
- register and test outgoing webhooks for alert triggers
- deploy extensions and manage contextual data integrations

## Example prompts
- Set up monitoring and create saved views for the new auth service
- Configure a Slack notification connector and test the router config
- Deploy an integration extension using cx-cli
