## What it does

The skill handles API requests through TypeScript scripts inside the `scripts/` directory. Direct HTTP calls via `curl` or `fetch` fail because these scripts generate mandatory HMAC signatures and format responses. Trades follow a strict two-step pattern: the agent first calls `trade.ts quote` to fetch a quotation ID, then executes the order after user approval.

Running this requires Node.js 18+ and `npx tsx`. Both `CDC_API_KEY` and `CDC_API_SECRET` must be exported in your shell environment. If either variable is missing, the skill halts execution with a `MISSING_ENV` error until you configure credentials. An emergency kill switch is included to revoke API keys on demand with `account.ts revoke-key`.

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add crypto-com/crypto-agent-trading --skill crypto-com-app -a claude-code
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `~/.claude/skills/crypto-com-app/SKILL.md` — Copy the whole skill folder; for one project use .claude/skills/crypto-com-app/

### Codex

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add crypto-com/crypto-agent-trading --skill crypto-com-app -a codex
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.agents/skills/crypto-com-app/SKILL.md` — For all projects use ~/.agents/skills/

### Cursor

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add crypto-com/crypto-agent-trading --skill crypto-com-app -a cursor
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.cursor/skills/crypto-com-app/SKILL.md` — Cursor also reads .agents/skills/ and .claude/skills/

### GitHub Copilot

1. **GitHub CLI**
```bash
gh skill install crypto-com/crypto-agent-trading crypto-com-app
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.github/skills/crypto-com-app/SKILL.md`

### Gemini CLI

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add crypto-com/crypto-agent-trading --skill crypto-com-app -a gemini-cli
```

2. **Platform CLI**
```bash
gemini skills install https://github.com/crypto-com/crypto-agent-trading --path crypto-com-app
```

### Windsurf (Devin Desktop)

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.devin/skills/crypto-com-app/SKILL.md` — The legacy .windsurf/skills/ path still works

### OpenCode

**Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add crypto-com/crypto-agent-trading --skill crypto-com-app -a opencode
```

### Claude.ai

## When to use it
- Fetch non-zero crypto and fiat wallet balances
- Request price quotations with countdown timers for token swaps
- Execute confirmed buy and sell orders on Crypto.com
- Check weekly account trading limits

## Example prompts
- Check my BTC and CRO balances on Crypto.com
- Buy CRO with 100 USD
- Show my recent transaction history

# Skill: crypto-com-app

## Agent Capability Requirements

This skill requires your agent platform to support the following capabilities. If your platform lacks any **required** capability, the skill will not function.

| Capability | Required | Details |
|---|---|---|
| **Shell command execution** | Yes | Must be able to run `npx tsx ./scripts/...` and capture stdout |
| **Environment variables** | Yes | Must read `CDC_API_KEY` and `CDC_API_SECRET` from the shell environment |
| **JSON parsing** | Yes | Must parse structured JSON from script stdout to extract fields |
| **Multi-turn conversation** | Yes | Trading uses a quote → confirm flow that spans multiple user turns |
| **Persistent memory** | No | Used for `confirmation_required` preference. If unsupported, default to always confirming trades |
| **Elapsed-time awareness** | No | Used to check quote expiry (`countdown` field). If unsupported, always attempt confirmation and handle `invalid_quotation` errors gracefully |

## CRITICAL: How This Skill Works

**You MUST use the TypeScript scripts for ALL API interactions. NEVER call the API directly with `curl`, `fetch`, or any other HTTP method.**

The scripts handle request signing, error handling, and response formatting. If you bypass them:
- The request will fail (missing HMAC signature)
- The response won't be filtered or structured

**For every user request, find the matching command below and run it via `npx tsx`. Read the JSON output. Act on it.**

## Configurations
- BASE_URL: `https://wapi.crypto.com`
- CDC_API_KEY: `{{env.CDC_API_KEY}}`
- CDC_API_SECRET: `{{env.CDC_API_SECRET}}`
- CONFIRMATION_REQUIRED: `{{memory.confirmation_required}}` (Default: true)
- SKILL_DIR: The directory containing this `SKILL.md` file. Resolve it from the path you loaded this file from (e.g. if you read `/home/user/skills/crypto-com-app/SKILL.md`, then `SKILL_DIR` is `/home/user/skills/crypto-com-app`).

## Environment Setup
- Both `CDC_API_KEY` and `CDC_API_SECRET` must be set as environment variables before use.
- **Before running any script**, check whether both variables are set by running:
  ```bash
  echo "CDC_API_KEY=${CDC_API_KEY:+set}" "CDC_API_SECRET=${CDC_API_SECRET:+set}"
  ```
  If either prints empty instead of `set`, prompt the user:
  > "Your API credentials are not configured. Please set them in your terminal before I can proceed:
  > ```
