## What it does

The skill builds a self-contained brief for the review target, starts the external reviewer under a fixed read-only policy, and passes the result to `review-resolution` as claims to validate. Two modes: `plan` reviews an implementation plan against its spec before execution, `implementation` is the final review of finished code against spec and plan, or against the conversation requests when neither exists.

Without `--agent`, two reviewers run in parallel on the same target: the opposite CLI and Antigravity. Claude picks `codex` and `antigravity`; Codex picks `claude-code` and `antigravity`. If one of the pair is missing or fails, the other review stands and the report names the gap. Both fail and the review is unavailable. The skill never falls back to the host's own CLI on its own.

You need Python 3.9 or newer and the reviewer CLI (`codex`, `claude` or `agy`) installed and logged in. The `review-request` skill must sit next to it, since the brief references come from there; without it the run reports `dependency unavailable: review-request` and stops. Secret hygiene runs before the brief is written, because the brief and the reviewer's reads leave the machine for another vendor's API, so `.env` and credential files stay out of the selection. An automatic call never blocks a plan handoff: if it cannot run, it returns `unavailable` with a reason and the caller applies its own fallback.

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add sentimony/skills --skill cross-review -a claude-code
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `~/.claude/skills/cross-review/SKILL.md` — Copy the whole skill folder; for one project use .claude/skills/cross-review/

### Codex

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add sentimony/skills --skill cross-review -a codex
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.agents/skills/cross-review/SKILL.md` — For all projects use ~/.agents/skills/

### Cursor

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add sentimony/skills --skill cross-review -a cursor
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.cursor/skills/cross-review/SKILL.md` — Cursor also reads .agents/skills/ and .claude/skills/

### GitHub Copilot

1. **GitHub CLI**
```bash
gh skill install sentimony/skills cross-review
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.github/skills/cross-review/SKILL.md`

### Gemini CLI

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add sentimony/skills --skill cross-review -a gemini-cli
```

2. **Platform CLI**
```bash
gemini skills install https://github.com/sentimony/skills --path plugins/devflow/skills/cross-review
```

### Windsurf (Devin Desktop)

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.devin/skills/cross-review/SKILL.md` — The legacy .windsurf/skills/ path still works

### OpenCode

**Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add sentimony/skills --skill cross-review -a opencode
```

### Claude.ai

## When to use it
- get a second opinion on a plan before coding starts
- catch what the author missed in a finished implementation
- check code against spec and plan at the final step
- review a change made straight from chat with no spec
- run two different CLIs over the same target at once

## Example prompts
- /cross-review --agent codex --effort high
- Cross-review the plan in docs/plan.md against the spec
- Run a cross-review of the implementation before merge

description: You MUST use this when an implementation plan or a finished implementation needs an independent review by other agent CLIs - by default the opposite CLI (Codex for work done in Claude Code, Claude Code for work done in Codex) together with Antigravity (Gemini) - whether the user asks for a cross-review or a second opinion from the other agent, or plan-crafting, inline-plan-dev, or subagent-plan-dev reach their cross-review step. # Cross Review

Use this skill to hand a plan or an implementation to other agent CLIs (by default the
opposite CLI and Antigravity) for an independent, read-only review. The host agent prepares a self-contained brief, the bundled
runner starts the reviewer with a fixed read-only policy, and the host passes the result to
`review-resolution` as claims to validate.

## Responsibility boundary

This skill owns the path from a review need to an external reviewer's result:

```text
review need
  -> mode, reviewer, and target
  -> selected material after secret hygiene
  -> target fingerprint
  -> self-contained brief
  -> runner invocation and wait
  -> result completeness check
  -> handoff to review-resolution
```

It does not fix findings, decide whether they are valid, run `verification-gate`, or
finish a branch. Two modes exist:

- `plan` - review an implementation plan against its spec before execution;
- `implementation` - final review of the complete implementation against spec and plan,
  or, for a change made from requests in the conversation without either, against those
  requests.

Spec review before planning and per-task review inside `subagent-plan-dev` are outside
this contract.

## When it runs
