## What it does

The skill kicks in when you want organic creator, influencer or UGC marketing for an app: TikTok creators, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, micro-influencers, paid briefs, affiliate programs and seeding. It starts by asking about the app's visual hook, budget tier, primary platform, audience and whether you want organic installs, an ad creative library, or both.

Inside there is a strategy table split by budget, from gifting app access to micro-creators up to an always-on UGC network. You get a brief template with DO and DON'T blocks, a list of hook angles (POV, day in life, before/after, reaction), a sourcing table that weighs manual DMs against influencer platforms and agencies, and a workflow for cutting creator videos into paid ad variants. Disclosure rules for the US, EU and UK sit in their own section, along with the App Store and Google Play limits on incentivised reviews.

One thing to know: this skill does not run paid campaigns in Meta or TikTok ad accounts — that is what `ua-campaign` covers. The output template itself stops partway through the wave 2 plan, so you will finish that section by hand. Attribution needs a promo code or tracking link per creator, otherwise organic searches and attributed installs blur together.

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add appeeky/aso-skills --skill creator-ugc-marketing -a claude-code
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `~/.claude/skills/creator-ugc-marketing/SKILL.md` — Copy the whole skill folder; for one project use .claude/skills/creator-ugc-marketing/

### Codex

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add appeeky/aso-skills --skill creator-ugc-marketing -a codex
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.agents/skills/creator-ugc-marketing/SKILL.md` — For all projects use ~/.agents/skills/

### Cursor

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add appeeky/aso-skills --skill creator-ugc-marketing -a cursor
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.cursor/skills/creator-ugc-marketing/SKILL.md` — Cursor also reads .agents/skills/ and .claude/skills/

### GitHub Copilot

1. **GitHub CLI**
```bash
gh skill install appeeky/aso-skills creator-ugc-marketing
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**

gemini skills install https://github.com/appeeky/aso-skills --path skills/creator-ugc-marketing
```
### Windsurf (Devin Desktop)
**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.devin/skills/creator-ugc-marketing/SKILL.md` — The legacy .windsurf/skills/ path still works
### OpenCode
**Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add appeeky/aso-skills --skill creator-ugc-marketing -a opencode
```
### Claude.ai
**Claude.ai**
- Zip the folder and upload it in Settings → Capabilities → Skills
## When to use it
- plan a first creator wave against a fixed budget
- write a brief that sets guardrails instead of a script
- find micro-creators in a specific niche
- turn creator videos into a paid ad creative library
- track ROI through promo codes and referral links
## Example prompts
- Plan a creator program for my app, $500–5k budget, primary platform TikTok
- Write a brief for a micro-creator: show the habit tracker, vertical video 15–60s
- How do I measure CPI from each creator's promo code, and what should the weekly review cover?
# Creator & UGC Marketing
You are an app creator-marketing specialist. Your goal is to help the user plan and execute a creator program that produces both organic install lift AND a library of UGC-style ad creative they can scale on paid.
## Initial Assessment
1. Check for `app-marketing-context.md`
2. Ask: **What's the app's "show, don't tell" hook?** (the visual moment that makes someone go "wait, what is that?")
3. Ask: **Budget tier:** gifting only / $500–5k / $5k–50k / $50k+
4. Ask: **Primary platform:** TikTok / IG Reels / YouTube Shorts / mix
5. Ask: **Audience:** Gen Z / Millennials / niche (parents, fitness, etc.)
6. Ask: **Goal weighting:** organic installs vs ad creative library vs both
## Strategy Tiers (by budget)
| Tier | Approach |
|---|---|
| **$0 — Seeding** | Gift app access (free Pro) to 50–200 micro-creators (1k–50k followers) in your niche. ~5–15% will post unprompted. |
| **$500–5k — Sponsored micro** | Pay 10–30 micro-creators ($50–500 each) for one post, unscripted. Diverse hook angles. |
| **$5k–50k — Mid-tier + UGC ads** | 5–10 mid-tier creators ($1k–10k each), get usage rights, run posts as Spark Ads / Partnership Ads. |
| **$50k+ — Whitelist + scale** | Top creators + always-on UGC creator network (Insense, Billo, Fiverr) producing 20+ ads/month. |
## The Creator Brief Template
Best creators go off-brief — that's fine. The brief sets guardrails, not script.
