## What it does

The skill recommends preparing two versions of a resume: a restrained one for online application forms and ATS software, and a designed one for portfolios, direct submissions, and meetings. It guides the choice of format, visual hierarchy, and links between the resume and portfolio. For the ATS version, it favors clear typography and advises against columns, text boxes, and images.

Guidance changes with the role: a designer can foreground composition, while a writer should make the quality of the copy clear. The designed version should stay readable and fit the visual identity of the portfolio; the source lists InDesign, Figma, Illustrator, and Canva as possible tools. The two formats serve different routes to an employer. Use the ATS version for application portals, where decorative layouts can interfere with parsing.
