## What it does

The skill exposes Costco operations for product discovery and purchase research. An agent can search by keyword, refine a query with suggestions, browse departments, load product details and review summaries, then compare at least two items side by side. It can also check shipping or pickup choices.

Location tasks use coordinates to find warehouses, retrieve their hours and services, and check whether an item is available in-store or online only. Cart actions cover adding an item, changing its quantity, and removing it by `orderItemId`.

Cart writes need an authenticated Costco session in managed Chrome, with cookies copied from the default Chrome profile. Without that session, `addToCart` returns a 403 from Akamai. Product details follow `itemNumber`, while reviews use `productId`; cart edits work only for items already present in the current `/CheckoutCartView` cart.

## Requirements
- Works with: Chrome

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add imoonkey/openweb --skill costco -a claude-code
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `~/.claude/skills/costco/SKILL.md` — Copy the whole skill folder; for one project use .claude/skills/costco/

### Codex

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add imoonkey/openweb --skill costco -a codex
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.agents/skills/costco/SKILL.md` — For all projects use ~/.agents/skills/

### Cursor

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add imoonkey/openweb --skill costco -a cursor
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.cursor/skills/costco/SKILL.md` — Cursor also reads .agents/skills/ and .claude/skills/

### GitHub Copilot

1. **GitHub CLI**
```bash
gh skill install imoonkey/openweb costco
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.github/skills/costco/SKILL.md`

### Gemini CLI

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add imoonkey/openweb --skill costco -a gemini-cli
```

2. **Platform CLI**
```bash
gemini skills install https://github.com/imoonkey/openweb --path src/sites/costco
```

### Windsurf (Devin Desktop)

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.devin/skills/costco/SKILL.md` — The legacy .windsurf/skills/ path still works

### OpenCode

**Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add imoonkey/openweb --skill costco -a opencode
```

### Claude.ai

**Claude.ai**
- Zip the folder and upload it in Settings → Capabilities → Skills

Where a file is given instead of a command, copy the files from the source to that path: https://github.com/imoonkey/openweb/tree/HEAD/src/sites/costco/SKILL.md

## When to use it
- search Costco products by keyword
- compare candidate items side by side
- check a product’s reviews and rating
- find shipping or warehouse pickup options
- verify stock at a nearby warehouse

## Example prompts
- Search Costco for laptops, compare two matching items, and show their prices.
- Use the `itemNumber` from the search results to check reviews and delivery options.
- Add the item with this `itemNumber` to my cart, change its quantity to 2, then remove it using `orderItemId`.
